Ok, so you really do mean it was cranking - I thought you made a mistake. If it's turning your engine for any amount of time before dis-engaging as you described then sounds more like low voltage issue. Solenoid have specs and need a certain amount of voltage to be there to remain engaged - dis-engagement means it's either failing internally or you may not have enough voltage getting to it.

Tried to get mine inspected today also. Wouldn't pass it because of a rust hole in the door, me and my dad took the grinder to it. This is what It looks like right now, until tonight when we can weld some metal to it then go tomorrow to get it inspected.

right at 4.5"
I plan i using IRO stuff as well. After you pushed the axle back did you have to shorten your driveshaft?

Only private shops do it here, you can't get it done at the MVA. The most annoying thing is that I'm going to have to get it yet another front header panel. Never get stuff like that off of ebay, thats my tip of day.

Now for stuff like those inspections where it says he has to get new adjusters

Must they be factory? or can he just duct tape the headlight and tell them to pull the tape off and re-tape it where it should be aimed? Not serious on that last part, but must it be oem/factory, or will aftermarket stuff pass?

Sorry for the noobishness, I've never had to do one.

Well, when I got it, the front header panel was broken from when the previous owner had hit a deer. So I ordered one off of ebay, and the part seems like it was made by China-man who was looking at the mopar part miles away with a telescope. Basically, I spent 2 days modifying to work, and I couldn't get the adjustment bits into the one side. Week later I saw the mopar part on rock auto for half the price, I wasn't amused.

WTH?????

Your states are stringent. Hole doesn't pass - why the hell not? Drives fine doesn't it? Headlights??? Really, what business do they have opening the hood? Here it's a sniffer in the exhaust and a plug to the computer. I think it's $28 here, but I always give them $35 and go to the same place. Sometimes my ZJ is the only vehicle that passes that day
