Haven't put enough miles on it to know. I don't think it's decreased too terribly much.

Yea they do but they are mostly used to make the engine look more like an older engine. The coils are very well sealed, plus there isn't anyplace to mount them to keep them drier except under the dash. With a dove front, no doors, I'll stay away from high speed water as much as I can.

No 242 worth pulling there today. There were 2 that had external slip yokes and rear shafts along with them that I contemplated. I'd need the rear shaft because I have an internal slip yoke on my 249. One of the cases was already dropped because someone pulled the engine and trans out of the Jeep. I would have bought it, but the rear shaft was dented pretty badly. At this point, I can be pretty picky because my 249 isn't binding yet. After that, I did wheel it for a short while down my favorite (the only) strip in the area. It was pretty bad. There was lots of ice to break through and plenty of obstacles. It was the first time I've had it offroad since the lift too. It did pretty well. I had to leave my discos connected because I still haven't mounted the retaining pins on my front skid.

It's simple to reuse your internal shaft on an external output. 1 minute job with a chopsaw on the ds front yoke and your done.

I'd rather just wait and find a 93-95 that's got an internal slip yoke output on it and hope I can find one with the .840" input. I'd rather not have to have my shaft balanced... Wow, put your mind in the gutter and re-read that one...

Lol. No rebalancing, you cut an inch off the front yoke. That's it. Ill try to find a pic. It really is a one minute, free job.

Yeah. I gotta see what you're talking about to fully understand this. I might go back tomorrow and get that case, if that's the case.

Replaced brake light switch, bought new TPS, and drove it to go bowling. Met some buddies and some chicks, my other buddy drives a lifted ZJ too. There was an FJ cruiser all covered in mud in the parking lot. On our way out we drew a bunch of ***** all over it and he came out after we were done and threw a little ***** fit. Luckily they didnt confront us but they knew it was us haha

why not just get the one thats easiest to pull and grab the DS off the other jeep that has the motor in it and is not bent/dented your front DS will be fine you just need the rear
