I noticed on two occasions now that after i've gotten out of the Jeep, my brake lights stay lit. Also i've noticed a couple times, while cruising on the highway at 65 that my RPMs will jump between 2000 and 2100. I read that the brake light switch could cause this because it tricks the torque converter into unlocking or something. Is it worth replacing? Its like $4 at my work. Also, when i let off the brakes i can pull the brake pedal toward me with my foot about 1/4". Is there a seperate part like a return spring that would be a better culprit?

Cruise should quit if it's the switch.

Cruise has not quit on me but i do it maybe once a week for a 10 mile stretch of hwy late at night. So cal traffic is bad so i dont use cruise much

Lol. Check if your switch is adjustable. When mine was doing the rpm jump it was the tps.

Mines the 960p, not the 1080p so I was able to get it for under $200 on sale after christmas. I think they're usually around 200 on ebay and $60 for a roll bar mount to put it on my tube bumper and maybe $40 for other random mounts

Also worked on cleaning up my new rock sliders and decided about adding some more supports. Tomorrow all of the welding should be done.
Without these, there was really no reason to have a Hi Lift jack on my jeep

I don't know if this will help Cameleer, but my rack is tube and this is how i mounted mine...

Ill prolly change TPS today. Any other components of brakes that could be it? Return spring or something?
