Cable, connection starter side, and battery. Is it worse when it's warmed up.

I wasn't implying you should. I feel the same way about them, and numerous other vehicles that aren't a dime a dozen, that get hacked aimlessly, and usually rather poorly. I was just saying, if you're going to put all the work into putting a 5 speed in it, why not drop in a 6 speed?

Lol what resale? It's already a 14 year old truck that's worth around 4 grand. When I bought mine the thought of re sale never entered my mind.

Check connections. Also check cracking volts and amps if possible. If its below 9.6 volts and above 250 amps it could be the starter draining the battery. Or it could just be the battery if the amps are good and the volts are still low. Otherwise broken wire or bad ground could be making you lose voltage. Starting systems are a PITA.

Couldn't agree more! I have a 1992 firebird formula 350. There are less than 500 hardtops made in 1992. Mine is no where near original. You guys and your niners think they're collector items. They are badass, don't get me wrong, but geeez, you guys are acting like corvette owners.

I think your right but there are diamonds in the rough. Only vehicle that will be a diamond in the rough is one a lot of people dreamed of having when they where in high school, or one that makes history.

I have a 1970 superbird 440 6-pack, if you know what it is, you can figure out what it's worth. When it was 2 years old dealers where nearly giving them away, because they looked like the craziest car on the planet. When it was 14 years old, people still didn't want one, kids where pissed when they had to drive one to high school. Now that it's 42 years old, you can't put gas in it without people stopping to ask questions about your super bee ( that pisses me off every-time, simply because it happens every time), or just want to take pictures.

Point is we don't have a clue what will, and what won't be cool 30 years from now. There are a few cars I had the chance to by in high school for $4-5000 but didn't have the money. 15 years later I see them sell for $50-100,000. You never know.

I get questions about mine a couple times about why I would make a luxury vehicle into an off-road vehicle. People see the leather interior and the "Limited" on the side and think it's like a mercedes.

I didn't sale resale price. I said resale market.

Yes it's worse when warmed up. When i shut it off, run in a store for a couple minutes, then come back out and start it, it sounds the worst. If i shut it ofd and leave it for an hour or longer it sounds okay starting

When did i say its a collector item? I said if i hack up my jeep and convert it to a standard trans and do decide to sell it, there will be less people interested. Don't judge us because our vehicles have a larger motor. Nowhere did i say it's a collector item and come off like a "corvette owner"

Anything that is of 1% of the overall production base is worth holding onto. Gen2 ZJ Orvis owners should pay even more attention to this. (.5% or so on those). I love my 5.9 along with all its little quirks. Wouldn't trade it for any other Jeep.

Those 2 elbows on the valve covet? There a b!tch cause the rubber grommet is dry rotted..they have both parts at autozone...new ones are u much easier to replace
