That's correct. But there isn't one made the size we need, but I can't remember right now if I went up a size, or down. I know I had to order it though.

I attempted to replace the hinge pins on the driver door.

Failed miserably

Who knew the factory pins weren't able to be just pushed out and the heads had to be ground out :P Since I don't have a cutoff wheel at home, guess I know what I'm doing tomorrow at work.

Easier to take the door off, even easier to put washers behind the hinges

Well, I parked it today to drive our 2012 Cruze down to Indy for a few nights. After I parked it, I decided the 3.5 IRO wasn't quite enough and ordered a full set of fixed control arms. I figure I'm going to lift it right.

I took the door off. It's easy to do, I just didn't have the right tool to get it done. I was mad. And dang, the door is pretty heavy, lol.

What would putting washers behind the hinges do? My bushings are shot.

If you put washers in the bottom holes, and leave the top without, the door acts as though the bushings are good again. You do this by just loosening all the bolts, take bottoms out, lift door, put in washers, tighten a couple, see how it lines up. Some need 2 washers stacked, some get by with one. Mines been like this for 4 years with no problems.

Ahhhhhh, ok. Thanks. I already had the pins from when I first bought the Heep, just never put them in. So I'm just going to put them in.

Thanks for the info though!

thats pretty slick... and dirty! I might have to do this since I have replaced my pins twice now and they are beginning to sag again..

I'm doing this this weekend along with rebuilding the front end. Can't wait...

Found brown and gritty fluid in the rear diff, went to pull the axle shafts so I could clean everything out and the head of the bolt holding the crosspin sheared right off. Ended up putting new fluid in it and called it a night, its howling like crazy, hopefully picking up an 8.8 tomorrow

put the air plenum (air hat) off a dodge durango 5.2 on the jeep 5.2. put 3 inch flex intake hose to the factory air box that i cut the front out of. sounds mean. better power- especially up higher. hopefully better mileage. at least it sounds like a magnum engine now.
