Also picked up a gas tank skid + V8 Tie Rod + 4 Neon injectors. I saw some factory tow hooks but after struggling with the damn thing trying to get them off I decided it was a sign I should get the KOR Radiator Support haha
Torch off the bolts to the hooks, did the same today at jy.
I need it to be able to hold up to severe abuse and the 2.5 link setup just wont cut it. I mean my end result might be 2-3 years out but basically I'm building it into a Jeep Speed Prerunner. I will be doing full frame stiffeners, cage, and skids with a buddy of mine in his shop but per Jeep Speed rules we can't make our own long arms..... lol.
I like the Clayton rear setup as it combines some of the advantage of a 3 link as well as the 4 link advantages in stability.
As far as the BDS shocks, I just want something that will be better for a Prerunner. And the 6" springs just seem too tall lol.
Mine has a rustys front which is like iro but has short link on both sides, I removed one for better twist. Also I think rustys is way too light, I wouldn't recommend to an enemy. I like iro, I think you'd be very happy with there setup, plus they will set you up with whatever you want. I'm putting coil overs on mine this winter, can you run these? I personally wouldn't want a true 4 link long arm front as youll have pinion angle problems from hell. You could do a 4 link like my rustys rear but it is basically the same as the front with longer top arms that hook to the same point as the lowers.

re-welded my muffler to the body with some steel/rubber hangers. and also found out that the ZJ forum is alot more "alive" than the WJ. I have both, and it seems the WJ is alot quieter. hmmm, Love my ZJ...
"Not a single **** shall be given."
Been looking for bump stops. Mine are rotted and I need an extra two inches. Where do I start? I found extenders, but I need the whole chebang. And the rear ones I found look different and have bolts. Stock stops dont have bolts, I think.
With it being 15-25 degrees out I don't really want to be outside or in the garage with the door open (to air out the fumes) all day.
1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4.0L : 172,xxx miles, IRO 3.5" F>R lift, IRO Adjustable Control Arms, IRO Adjustable Track Bars, 31" Goodyear Wrangler Authority on Cragar V5's, Pavement Pounder until I get out of college :( ...Built Not Bought #650
Spend the Time and the Money the 1st Time, You'll End Up Doing it Anyway.
Just ordered bilstein 5100s from kolak and also a iro 3.5in lift with 31 km2s. Is that close to enough??
I'm probably going to run 5150's or full external reservoir shocks. Tires are fine, short arms won't absorb the road as well. I've always believed that unless 2-3" of lift is all you want, long arms are the only way to go. Sucks that it is very pricey.
i don't think the guy in that last one thought he was going to be able to do that. that was probably one of those "OH CRAP" moments that ended up working out. all i know is that as bad as i want to do that i would need a change of pants after that.
and how badass does that first ZJ sound out of a 6...WOW
updated my jeepforum.com information... is my pic showing up? is there a way to put more than one jeep in our information area, besides just listing them in the signature? picking only one is like trying to decide which one of your children you love more (i would imagine... i have no kids).
