Some renix xjs came with the chevy v6 factory. Was a POS motor though.

Installed the weatherstrip I got on the rear hatch. Went to get glue, my uncle had none. Its not gasping for some but I'd be more comfy having it. Definitely feel better with the full seal instead of missing 6 inches by the r/s top hinge.

That is your rear diff gearing. Just look inside where the transfercase shifter is and tell us what it says. 4 hi , 4 lo, N, 4 full time, ect. I bet you have a 242.

Finished getting the mounting hardware of my roughcountry winch plate on. Plate and winch go on tomorow morning. Hands went numb being outside fore a few hours with wet gloves 15deg. out

T-case should be going in tonight. Do I RTV the mating surface between the tranny and t-case?

Oh yeah, im a dumb a++. The po changed the center console with a quadratrac display, but I know for a fact I have part time command trac. I definitely have u joints. So the 242 and u joints are better? Why?

They aren't necessarily better. The u joints are stronger going straight and cv is stronger while turning. the perk with u joints is that you can repair them on the trail while a blown cv is toast. The reason they put cv's in with the 249 TC is because they are smoother while turning so all the pretentious rich jerks that bought their jeep as mall princess's wouldn't complain. The only draw back with the 249 is the VC wearing out and it's nearly impossible to find lockers. The 93-95 249 does suck though because it's open. Other than that it's the best in rain and snow being the strongest case of the bunch. For an extreme off roader a 231 would be the best.

Installed my Rustys AirTube with K&N.

Also picked up a gas tank skid + V8 Tie Rod + 4 Neon injectors. I saw some factory tow hooks but after struggling with the damn thing trying to get them off I decided it was a sign I should get the KOR Radiator Support haha
