Zj. Some had cv, some had u-joint. Don't quote me on it but I think the 242 case grands had u-joint. I got mine used for $85 shipped with the needed front yoke.

xjs and i think v6 zjs. they come in slightly different lengths though... i have a 96 zj, and i believe mine came off of a 95 xj with a 242 tcase and you'll need to get a front pinion yoke as well

Im learning all this stuff as I go, so forgive my ignorance, lol. I think I have u joints. Inside my knuckle theres a component to the hub that looks like a u. I do have I6, but dont know how to verify what t case I have.

Got the windshield replaced... bought a yellow top battery...

now I have to go and find the parasitic draw...

CV have rubber boots, u joints don't. Tell us what gears your transfer case shifter says on it and we will tell you what case you have. Or you can get under your Jeep and look at the round metal badge that's on the rear of the case.

Replaced all of the light bulbs in my dash. Grounded out my security system so it would stop going off at random times...like 3 am...

1995 ZJ 5.2L V8 318. 230,000 miles and still rollin.

That's actually one of things that bugs me the most is when someone calls it a V6.

Could get a V6 XJ though o.O nobody liked it.

Id like to see someone swap a v6 into an xj or zj just so they can say they have one. Then people will be like "you mean i6" and youre like "no, i mean v6" lol
