I think you should be able to. If they're getting that much boost at 3200, you should have no problem seeing at least 5psi by 1800 - 2000. Worst case, if you go the turbo cheaply, you could always swap to a smaller one if it doesn't spool easily enough.

$245 is cheap enough hehe. If I clean it up and get any and all grease/ carbon off, then rebuild it and sell it as a rebuilt turbo it's worth like $500 that way haha. A brand new CHRA is $198 or a gpopshop rebuild kit is $99. No matter what I can't lose from buying this turbo. Could even turn a little profit if I do it right.

I spent maybe two hours on it and saved $79. That's how I roll. I can't replace something that is still functional.

Just got it back today after being in the shop for the last 2 weeks. wasnt home ten minutes and it was up on ramps to swap the t-case.

As for the swap, I got as far as the top bolt. That ****er is SEIZED. Alli can make fit up there is like a 6 inch 14mm wrench. Got most of the others off with it no problem. Even pushed with my foot on this one and it still wont budge. And no, im not turning it the wrong way. I already made that mistake with another one but seriously how much more can i lower the crossmember? Its already lowered like 5 inches or so and I dont want to go too far. It would be nice to have a little more room. The nut is soaking in pb blaster over night. hopefully it works

freestyle, i think i read you can like put a slot on the end of your wrench and type some cable or rope to it and pull the rope for more leverage. I never done this swap or seen what it looks like. just passing on some possible info!

I tried 9/16 but it doesnt fit as snug as a 14mm. Since im putting so much pressure on it I dont want to strip it. and ill probably try ratchet strapping it tomorrow. see if that works if the pb blaster doesnt do it

Oh aight. Theyre size is 9/16 so idk. I just cut the open head off my wrench when i did mine and it worked fine.

Question guys. How do u know if a HP30 is vac disconnect? My buddy has a 91 XJ and he said i can have his front axle if i keep his drivable. Can i just swap em? I got a feeling it is a disconnect axle but not sure

Pretty sure there's a motor at the top of the passenger axle tube. If you see anything there, it's vac disco. Not difficult to fix I don't think. I think all it needs is a block of plate of some sort and a standard d30 pass. shaft. I could be completely wrong, so take it with a grain of salt.

Got the 242 in and fixed my drivers-side headlight issue. One step closer to euro glass! Taking the driveshaft to get shortened 1" tomorrow as well as picking up a new hub. Should be golden after that!

Hence it took over an hour to dig out. Mostly lying down in the snow and using it like a pick with the shovel angled 90 degrees from the handle. It worked....eventually.

My ZJ has never been stuck, it was just taking a break from being so awesome!

I had to warm it up before taking it to the JY to waste some time. It's cold. The temp was reading 13 degrees. That's almost as low as my MPGs.

There is another thread about MPG where people say that you can lift it and put on 35's with stock gears and your MPG will increase.
