It's a pita, but you gotta do it. On an XJ, pulling the front dshaft helps, so that might help in your case.

Get your extensions ready!

IDK I think it's fairly simple on the XJ w/o removing anything. Haven't done a ZJ one but it can't be any harder.

My buddy is thinking of ordering a container full of stuff from this China knock off place. Stuff is like super super cheap. Snorkels for the XJ's are $100 shipped after he marks it up and makes a pretty legit profit margin LOL. I can get 4 of these for less then the price of 1 harness from the actual company. http://unity4wd.en.alibaba.com/product/327687935-210294725/SPN.html
I'm sure you get what you pay for, but it almost seems worth it.

Yeah, it can be done on a V8 ZJ without pulling the trans or anything. It's just a PITA to get to, as you end up doing it mostly by feel. Mine's started throwing codes, so I'm gonna have to deal with it within a month. Not looking forward to it.

I asked my mom for some speakers for christmas, since ALL of my speakers were blown and I had only replaced 2 so far....anywho she got me some wal-mart component speakers, not knowing any better. I got those installed in the front doors today, mounted the tweeters right on the door panel, and moved the set of speakers I already had installed to the rear doors. Sounds MUCH better! Next thing I'll do is put in this 10" kicker sub and 1000w kenwood amp I took on trade for upholstery work last winter.

Also installed a new o2 sensor, hopefully that will take care of my weird running issues/intermittent check engine light.

Stuck a Gopro to the roof and cruised around some windy backroads (some of them of the dirt variety) for an hour or so. All fun and good except for hitting the bumpstops up front once from a large crack in the road, and the guy following me in his supercharged Camry blowing out one of the shocks he was planning on replacing anyway.
