I also found and issues a rust issue allowing water in through the hatch hinge area. I ground down the rust, treated it, then JBwelded a piece of angle in the inside of body, JB'd exterior, sealed with RTV, reinstalled hinge to body and no more leaks. Mostly a lot of little stuff to fix on this $500 ZJ.
I had rust on the bottom corners of the lift gate frame or jam or whatever you want to call it. The weatherstipping ripped years ago and I never took care of it and not i'm paying the price!!!

Hitched up the trailer and strapped down my bike.

Then checked all the fluids to get her ready for its road trip tomorrow.

I just fixed my defrost dash air doors so they work right and corrected a problem with the cruise control. Was an air leak in the vacuum line. Only problem is I did not catch it on the lines by the firewall and so removed the battery box to see if it was leaking from underneath. It was not so I spent all that time and then noticed it was leaking where it passes through the firewall. Two hours to do what could have taken 5 minutes if I would have been more careful checking the lines in the easier place to get at them. Murphys law I guess. But all is working now so all is right in the world.

Jeep needed some work after the wheeling trip to Harlan KY. This is the exit to Whitetail for any of you who have been.

But today I took off my throttle body and cleaned that out and all the sensors, also drained my front diff fluid to check out the locker and what not and put some new oil in it. Tomorrow I'll be changing the rear diff oil and take a look at the locker, its been making more clackity clunks so hopefully there isnt any metal shavings in the diff. Also got a new filter for the transmission and will be swapping that.
