The ignition switch is going to be 12 volts though. I'm only trying to check that both the accessory and run position get 12 volts from the remote start. Because I'm not really able to tell with the instructions which wires need to have 12v battery power in order to power up those 2 wires and pulse the start wire in order to start the vehicle.
I will probably need to use the ohm meter function to be 100% sure the relays are opening and then the volt meter to test for voltage out, saying test light wasn't exactly "this is what I'm doing" it was just referring to what I was testing I suppose.
I just wanted to watch out for you to make sure you weren't going to blow anything electrical on the Jeep and then have to spend a ton of money to fix it. If you're only testing things on the remote start to see what does what, you should be good.
Well, today I took it and got my Magnaflow high flow cat welded in place. I also had them install a Magnaflow muffler. I replaced my downstream O2 sensor afterward because the threads stretched while they were taking it out. I'm pretty happy with the way it sounds and it's running better with a less restrictive exhaust system.
I'm needing some help pleae, I was working on the overhead console fixing the lights, I hit something and poof all the overheadlights, under dashl ights, glove box light, radio, hood light, and keyless entry system all went out, I checked all the fuses and they are all good, I also checked the power distrabution box under the hood, and they are all good, is there a fusable link or a hidden fuse somewhere i'm missing?
other than that I upgraded the alternator to a 200amp one, and I got the fog light headlight switch at the local pick and pay, paid 9.00 for it, had someone on ebay trying to sell it to me for 45.00! told him no way LOL,
well I really need help with the lights and radio problem please
I also replaced the top ideler pully when I changed teh apternator it started squeel real badly so I just replaced it, but the replacement one is squeeling too not as bad but still I guess i'm going to have to buy a brand new one or something.
