Garage
Bought a pair of Rigid Duallys for it, and some new Kicker 6.5" rounds for the front, going to move the current 6.5" to the rear blown speakers.

Really liked my last set of Duallys I had on my dual sport, so I got a couple for this thing to replace the fog lamps. Going to use my amazon special cube lights as reverse lights.

All about that unibody life.

Finally spent the night after work soldering the hacked up wire harness in the green beast....we'll see if I can get any response outa the forward gears after the sun comes up so as not to piss off my neighbors with the "custom" exhaust...... "custom"= stock manifolds/y-pipe/exit immediately out under the passenger door! Lol. Wicked loud!

96 ZJ sittin up 6" on 35's with 4:56's and a 12k winch. Cuz...why the hell not!?

What's the normal operating temp for a 94? I don't ever seem to get the dash below 210? Is that normal? I think the engine is getting to normal operation temp. ( due to a faulty blend door) it is also have had ****ty idle and poor mpgs. Is that the problem? I don't think this a thread worthy problem, although with all the problems if had with this zj i might as well have started one.

TV cable end repair didn't even last 30 miles. Stupid JB Weld. Fortunately it failed 2 minutes out from my destination, and when I arrived there were a preponderance of zip ties. Gonna pull the cable off the Orvis tomorrow, use that until the new cable arrives. I also need to fix a problem that cropped up where it thinks the lift gate is open, which just cropped up today. I suspect it's the flipper glass latch position sender. Just a hunch. And then I need to make time to rebuild a starter for a friend, who already disassembled it, reimage a laptop for my sister's boyfriend's brother or cousin or something, and make time to hang out with an old friend who's back in town for the tail end of the week.

Gonna be a busy day.

210 is operating temp.

Yeah wasn't sure how I was going to do that. All that I've seen with square tube have both the "slider" pieces at the same level so its all straight cuts.. I wanted the outer one a bit higher .. So I sloped it back with the same angle as the short pieces and will cap/close it off when done..
Didn't want to just have it straight and figured an angle might help to should I ever run into a rock from that angle..
Not sure I like it either but its growing on me and might actually function as I intended.. back is sloped in similar fashion

Only thing that bugs me is that the side of the car isn't straight all the way and curves inward towards the front so it looks like the rails are crooked a bit but its just the shape of the car

Still gotta do the 1" square kickers running to the unibody rails to really solidify the whole thing.. and finish all the welding..

I actually bought a Jeep so I could learn to weld..

When you finally give up the flux core you'll be in for a surprise of how easy welding is.

Good, I waited way too long to get a tank, would have made a couple of projects much easier.

Took the Niner to Jank City while I wait for a buddy with a 3D printer to make real a fix I designed.

Seriously, it helps to have a basic knowledge of CAD software, but it's a lot more useful when you actually own your own 3D printer. Relying on friends with printers means you end up in Jank City, Population: Like 50 Zip Ties

Rear diff cover for the 8.8 came in today. Ordered some Lube Locker gaskets for both the front and rear. Gonna swap once they come in.
