New stock style exhaust header today. I dont know what to do now that I dont have random drones, vibrations and as much noise in front as back. I have decided that Im looking into a quieter muffler the turbo is still noisy outside of the ZJ.
So I went wheelin' today. After having to get pulled up over a 2' ledge I couldn't get up, I chose the wrong line and a small 6" diameter tree took it's anger out on me. Yep, I started the day with a front bumper.
When my buddy I was wheelin with posts his pics, I'll post the pic of that SOB tree.
Not my ZJ, but a ZJ nonetheless. I got a chance to take a look at my neighbor's "new" ZJ. It was lifted 4", front winch bumper, rear bumper w/ tire carrier, and rack. I was pretty jealous till I got underneath to look as to why it was "handling a bit squirrelly".
The passenger side rear UCA mount was completely separated from the unibody, and both rear UCA's had been busted off previously. The hack rewelding job was ghetto fabulous, with angle iron "reinforcing" them. Rear sway bar was gone, front sway bar was disco'd, with passengerside axle mount removed. Steering was completely shot w/ all TRE's loose when I shook them. Front TB axle bolt was finger tight! Transmission cooler lines had been completely replaced with rubber lines, but they were draped across the exhaust pipe after they merged.
I told him to immediately return the ZJ, as he'd only put a $350 down payment on it from a "buddy". I informed him it wasn't driveable until fixed, and he assured me he wasn't driving it. Sure enough within 2 hours I saw him drive off down the street in it.
