Its hard to say what the life of a pump is. You could get one that lasts a day or one that never dies. If you go through the trouble of dropping the tank then it would be a very wise decision to replace the whole assembly. If you do replace it, stay away from airtex brand.

I chewed through a couple of pulleys before I replaced the pump and box. Made me realize how long it had been really bad.

Brought back my yellowtop from the dead. Had been holding around 5-6V for about a year and a half on the garage floor. Deep cycle ftw.

cut open the hood and flipped the vents to force air in rather than just letting it escape. Noticed about a 4-5 degree engine temp drop on the way to work today

I finally, after years of dealing with it hitting, cut my gas tank skid so it would stop making contact with my axle side trackbar mount when I flex. I only went through 3 jigsaw blades. Not bad. I expected to go through more.

mounted my mag light holder and put the spare back inside. Maybe that 14.4mpg avg will go back up to 16.6mpg *fingers crossed*. Can't find my damned 16mm socket so no new spark plugs.. Got them all gapped to ~.35, ready to put in. I even have the dielectric grease for the new wires ready to go. HF, here I come, I guess
She looks so naked with the tire off her roof, it's giving me more fever to get to modding her up all nice and sexy... Why must you hate me wallet!? Why are you always empty!?

Crap, now I'm confused.

I bought this: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/tm...view/make/jeep

To replace my rear main seal, but the one I removed looks like this: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/fe...view/make/jeep

Did I get the wrong thing? Can I use the one I have or should I just grab the other one?

There shouldnt be a problem using the seal that you bought. The only difference is that the one you bought has extra flange for the oil pan depending on what pan gasket you bought.

Uhg I bought a set of 31's already mounted the other day. Did a 3 hour round trip to get them and when I got back one had already lost air and the next day another one was running low . The one with the slower leak is 100% leaking from the rim and the other one likely has the same issue. I already picked up 2 more 31's but now I'm worried I'll pay to get them mounted only to find it's the rims that are the problem. Really getting the **** end of the stick lately.

Changed the fluid in my 249 (yesterday), had to use a 2' breaker bar to get the plugs out. Guessing it's been years since that was changed

The pump is only 2 years old too. Back then, even with the right tool I ended up with a hairline crack in the pulley installing it, so I bought another and thought I had it, but I guess not. This time I ended up with another hairline crack after installing it, but I had to get it out of the parking lot so I left it.

I'm hoping I can find an aluminum one instead of plastic. If not, maybe a Mopar instead of Dorman.

I think the pulleys from the 93-95 5.2 were aluminum instead of plastic, but they have a different groove setup.

I found this one but it doesn't have the groove for the puller to get it off or the large holes in the face that you access the pump mounting bolts through.
