They running 8 or 10k? I figure an 8k is enough for a zj, but also some friends of mine have f150s that I'll be helping sometimes. So I may need more

sent from, uh

Most of them have 8k, one of the JKU's is upgrading to a 10k though.

Read this if you haven't already though: http://www.pirate4x4.com/tech/billavista/Recovery/

I got into the program mode one time messing around with mine. Honestly, I can't remember though. There is a way to change it though.

That's it.

On topic, I ordered a Nissens dual row radiator for it today.

Did the Aurora lights mod. Have it wired through a relay to a switch. Took ~$20 and ~4 hours with paint and silicone.

That looks great!

I'm still not done. Have to bleed the brakes, zip tie stuff, replace an upper freakin control arm bolt that snapped off and an alignment. Then I need to get front slip yoke shaft.

And probably do some trimming and bump stopping where necessary. And sliders if possible. I'll need em for sure.

Fairly certain I blew up my front axle. Going up a small but steep hill I hit it at 5-10 mph in 4 part time (242 tcase) it went halfway up the hill and bogged down and then I heard a loud snap and I let off and rolled down the hill and put it in 2 and drove a mile to my buddy's house no problem. Put it back in 4 in his yard and I know 4x4 engaged cause the front end hopped and it grinds and snaps now.

Three dealer may be able to change it for you. Otherwise, a junk yard VIC should be good.

What kills me is that I've made it up that hill at least 5 times before with no problems.

Went to Tahuya today and wheeled with a few buddies. I was the most capable one there as the leader was on a 8" skyjacker lift on a duramax longbed trying to go through trails. The other car was a Range Rover, but it was having charging issues and was running rough. My zj did great with its lift, and never once did I wish for more clearance or power! I'm just glad I got a zj instead of something else; there is nothing like cruising down the trail with the A/C going and the windows down!

I finally drove it to Moab and back, (3200 miles). We did Fins and Things, Moab Rim, Porcupine rim, Poison Spider, Golden Spike, Gold bar Rim, and Cliffhanger with only very minor issues. It was freegin amazing!
