I was kidding. That wouldn't happen.

I just want something I don't have to work on so much once I have a kid. I wish I could keep my ZJ & fix it up (and actually so does my wife), but we can't afford to

Don't feel so bad. I will be selling mine soon if this overs seas job comes through. Right now I'm 90% sure it's going to happen. I know how you feel though, I have been repairing and up grading mine since late 2011. Just a few more things left to do on it. I'm sure now that I wrote this it will get turned down

I got rid of my XJ because I totaled it, but the ZJ still runs great. I'm hoping I can find it a good home once the time comes. It deserves to live on with someone else.

Do back ground checks and drug test the new owner

You wouldn't get anything for it trading it in. They love to rip people off that way. Sell it private.

I wish I'd done a little bit of that before I sold my last niner. I saw it on the road the other day. It's definitely seen better days. Space saver spare on the front, nice big scratch down the side, some big blonde lady driving it, and the worst part... Old caked on mud all over the back end. I spent hours cleaning that thing inside and out. I took a toothbrush to the under carriage before I had it under coated. I halfway considered chasing them down and asking if I could buy it back.

It was an unpleasant experience to watch my first one drive away after I sold it. Ten years of memories and two cross country trips gone. The guys who bought it intended to run it until it quit off road. I had already thrashed it and brought it back to life once but the motor and trans ran strong. It did blow sand out of the ac vents when you turned it on though so having your eyes open wasn't a good idea. There were some bug living it it too.

Figured out that I'm getting a whopping 1mpg more than I had thought.
I thought I was getting 9mpg, but I'm actually getting 10mpg.
Consider this city driving because there is only 1 mile of speed limits above 40mph on my commute to work.
Or anywhere else for that matter.
Living on a peninsula has it's drawbacks.
I suppose I could put my 235s back on to save some gas, but it looks lame without the 32s on it.

My wife has been talking to me about selling mine and getting a TJ or LJ. I think it would be really awesome but I have a hard time thinking about selling it. She's pretty set on getting one; I wouldn't mind one either. I already laid down the rules regarding it as in I get to build it, wheel it, break it, and build it again. She understands that. My only gripe is I've been doing that with my ZJ for 4 years now. I have it pretty much where I want it for the wheeling I do with it. It's got a lot if my blood and sweat in it.

Not a bad idea on prior owners too lol. My last xj I had a lot of wtf moments trying to fix his "repairs"..

OT: got new Moog front upper axle side control arm bushings. Hopefully I'll get them in today. That'll be the last of my suspension maintenance/upgrades for a while.....yeah right lmao..
