Mopar performance computers don't have a governor but they are long out of production.

Went to drain the oil change can into the bin at work and covered it in oil. Now to find out who filled the f'r with coolant and thunder punch them in the throat. That'll be the last time I park anywhere near that thing again.

Yesterday i did the intake gaskets. It must have been blown for a whike but just started showing signs of it. First bolt on both sides broke or were broke because they were stuck in the block and only had to drill 1 out. The other 2 came out with vise grips after the intake was off. There was sludge in the valley that took forever to scrape off. P.o. must have done the plenum fix because the plenum was almost spotless inside. It took me 7 hrs to do it start to finish because the 3 broken bolts. It runs so much better and stronger now.

I thought the perf pcm had the governor at 135 instead of 115.

Yea well I never had it up to 135 to find that out. I don't even know it's capable of that speed given the brick like aerodynamics. Not that anyone should try that.

*searches for long, straight downhill stretch of pavement to try it*
You'd have to have ridiculous gearing to get it that high, otherwise the RPM limiter is gonna kill it around 115, or so I thought.. Bah, it's suicidal to go that fast in a brick anyways hahah

I'm pretty sure Greg's had his over 150... But his ZJ is a little different than most.

I been up to 115 in both, in the green thing (before the lift) it felt like it was just sorta topping out. In the niner the governor kicks hard and it feels like you've got a ways to go.

I remember in my 95 when I had the normal computer then I got the performance computer. I had it over 115 for a few seconds after the install. I wanted to see if it would cut off like before. I did it safely. It was at night, on a dark highway, with limited visibility. I had my Jesus bobble head on the dash so it was ok.

Did nothing to my ZJ but I feel like I'm committing a sin by considering leasing a new Cherokee (at least its a Trailhawk) due to the fact that my wife and I now have a little one on the way.....

Do it. If you're going to drive a minivan, it might as well have 4wd and a Jeep logo on the front.

I'd respect that decision. I dig the KL Trailhawks.
