Personally, if school is closed (how my office determines if it will be closed for weather) I don't go in. Not worth risking my life even w/ my ZJ.

That's a problem I'm glad we don't have hear. We worry about hurricanes and those are few and far between.

I drove my WJ through a hurricane once. Talk about dumb life decisions.

I've driven my ZJ in some pretty questionable weather to make it to work before. I don't think Best Buy would have cared if I was late to wait out the microburst but for some reason I took that job far too seriously.

Well you're not dead or in prison so it's all good in my book.

Living in Rochester, NY for most of the year at this point, I've stopped caring what the weather is. The ZJ is on a good set of snow tires and snow is pretty much unavoidable up here unless you stay home for days at a time. Heck, a couple days ago I left for class in a near-whiteout snow squall (which was over by the time I got there and it's only a 10 minute drive).

Today I started mentally planning my deviously creative(if I do say so myself) rocker/slider/body stiffener/tranny crossmember/under body skid combo I plan to build on to her when warmer weather gets here.
Yes, it will add a bunch of weight to her, but that's okay.

I need some graph paper and some time to take some good measurements to make my plan of attack, steel requirements, and cut list.
Stay tuned.

And that reminds me. I dragged a Land Rover in park with flat tires with the ZJ... in reverse. Hah.

I can't believe how bad this rotor was. Almost cracked down the middle and weighed about 1/4 (at most) of the new one. At least I have responsive quiet brakes again. I'll have pics of this ridiculousness later.
