I would have killed for some AC today, all the highway signs are saying we're in a serious drought. Lovely june we're having otherwise.

The wife's ZJ stayed home today, too.

The niner got to go out and play all day, though.

Do for an oil change at 228k miles oil pressure according to the gauge is about 20 and at 40 when cruising thinking of switching to shell rotella 15w40 will that effect it at all?

If you're running an xxW30, it'll probably raise the pressure some. However, if you're in PA, then a 15W will be a bit thick on cold start in the winter. A good 5W-30 or 5W-40 would be a better pick.

Honestly though, 20 psi at hot idle is still well within spec and not an issue as long as the pressure comes up with increased rpm.

Yeah. It's pretty solid for how cheap it is. I've got the Rotella 5W-40 synth in my 5.9, seems to be doing the job well. Only other oil that's made my "should try at some point" list is M1 0W-40.

I like mobil one sythentics rotella is a good oil for sure and is also great for any wet clutch applications as well. Right now I'm running 10w30 high mileage Kendal probably just gonna go to regular 10w30 either Pennzoil or wolfshead depending on what we got at the shop I usually change it every 3k but I rarely drive it normaly when the oil pressure drops around 20 its time to change it lol its normally around 40 even when hot idle oil starts to break down over time so its time to change it

Im not a big fan of bilsteins. They ride too stiff or too soft. Ive dealt with a bunch of them at work on rvs thats valved for their application and the customers have complained about them. I usually end up putting koni shocks on and they love them. Im going to see if i can order some for my zj when i go back go work.
