Took my driver's side floor mat out and found "Lake ZJ"...
Guess I should kick the snow off my boots more often...

Taking the shop vac out now to suck up as much water as I can get...
Explains why I had to squeegee the inside of my windshield this mernin'

EDIT: I just got over a gallon of water out, in just a few minutes.
I can only imagine how much the carpet and insulation is holding in still....

And don't use those end gaskets, just lay a really thick bead of RTV in their place.
I had to do my intake a second time because the damn cork piece blew out in the back of the intake. It's RTVed this time. I'm not pulling that sucker of again.

Today I changed the front diff fluid and tranny fluid and filter. Found a lil mud in the filter so I need to really get after that breather mod! Also tracked down my new noise from the front...my recently replaced (and warrentied)cv axle! That's on the schedule for tomarrow!

I did get the plate from him. What killed me was all the extra stuff I had to get like gaskets and bolts. It ended up being more than the hughes kit but his plate is nicely cut.

Don't worry speedy, it's a very easy repair. Just take your time and scrape all the old gasket off. Also when you go in with the shop vac watch out for the coolant canals. You will know it when you start to suck up green water.

Didn't do much except pick up a bulb for my drive lights. Now there's nothing stopping me from getting everything installed and working tomorrow since I have off. If all goes well I'll finish up the roof lights, wire and mount the drive lights and paint my grill. If I don't get at least 2/3 of that done please feel free to flame me and call me lazy, I could use the motivation .

The roof lights should be easy to do. The driving lights might be a little bit harder and painting the grille is easy as pie.

Well these are all things that I've done to my last ZJ. It's mainly just moving parts over and making it look/feel like my old one. The roof lights are already on and 98% wired, I just need ground it on the roof (and get out a stripped torx bolt). The wiring for the drive lights is basically done, I just have to mount them and plug them into the relay/ground. I've just been dragging my *** on everything and doing it all in little bits and pieces.

Finally going to pay some attention to the niner. Just ordered all IRO adjustable short arms from Kolak. Can't wait to get her all straightened out and handling good again. Thinking about Addco sway bars too, but I want to see how the handling is after the arms first.

Well I did most of what I wanted to get done. Drive lights are all set up and I had just enough bedliner left to paint the grill. But when I tried to extract that stripped torx screw (where I need to ground my roof lights) I only succeeded in pulling the head off. Then when I went to drill out the rest off it the damn bit broke in there, so now there's no getting that out. If I had another foot of cable I could just run it to another bolt but unfortunately I don't. I'm tempted to just drill a small hole into the roof itself and ground it there, but that just seems sloppy. Still content for the day and here's the results:

When spring arrives I'll get to bedlining the cladding and the bumpers as well.
