Check my build thread how I did mine. No paint flaking either. Near the end somewhere.

With the fuel filter, and the new injector's its running a lot smoother then it was. (My driver side mirror is no longer vibrating at idle.)

Swapped the radio over to a sony CDX-GT700HD, got my FM radio back and I can finally shoot the damned cassette adapter I've been making do with. Sounds 10x better then stock with just the receiver alone, next on my list is repair the wiring to the left rear speaker (The wiring to that door has been a problem for 5+ years) then replace all the speakers, add 2 amps and a woofer.

Also I finally got around to declogging my evaporator drain, had a freaking pool by the time it was done draining. Finally no more sloshing while I'm driving, and my feet don't get wet. (It was so backed up it was coming out the vents.)
Do you have stereo controls on the steering wheel? I need to upgrade the stereo in my ZJ but would hate to lose that functionality.

Looks like you could add a 10" wide plate thats welded to the top tube and bottom plate and cut out a hole in it.
Or, two pieces of 3/8" x 2" bolted on each side of the fairlead and welded on top tube and bottom plate.

Only thing i hate about the ZJ's is if you have to sit in the back and your like 5'10 or taller its really hard on your knees... We took a similer trip the other week and i had to sit in the back and damn it sucked.. next time im driving my Jeep down there i dont care if it costs me $100 in gas...

Must have had a holes in the front or they were 7'. The back seats pretty roomy. Specially if your comparing it to any other Jeep.

Bull****, you can buy a new VC on ebay for $300, they sel the older 92-96 ones and the 97+ ones.. I got one replaced my bad VC and its been working great for months now.. I know others who have used the ebay ones and they say they have been working for years...

No its very uncomfortable. Im 280 lbs 6'1, im not a small skinny guy so when i sit in the back its very tight.. I can barely get in and out my knees hit the other seat and head hits the ceiling when getting out or in.. Trust me its extremely uncomfortable.. Specially after sitting there for 3+ hours, because you have no leg room to stretch when you have baggage in the middle and another person sitting on the other side.

Oh and also, you dont need to be 7' tall for the front seat either.. I have to have my drivers seat almost all the way back in order to be comfortable.. If i dont my left knee jabs the dash board and my right leg will be slanted sideways and i wont have room to lift my foot up far enough to hover over the gas pedal.
