Really? I used a sawzall for most of it and it cut right thru and didnt even phase the blade. Used the cut off wheel for the hard to reach spots
its amazing what a decent sawzall with a not cheap blade will do. most people dont use them properly. having the shoe tight to what your cutting is infinetly faster than just holding the blade against it
V8 zj at 6" . Double tri rear and true 3 link front. Stretched to 108"
i just cut a slit in my fenders and rolled them under into the wheel well so it dont leave a sharp edge.
Thats what I wanted to do at first too, I just didn't want to paint to chip off everywhere, and I'm not positive if I like the look of the black stripping along it (nothing wrong with it, I'm just trying to figure out a way without doing that)
My dad's buddy recharged my AC for me last year right at the end of September. It was a little late that year for a charge, but I'm glad now that I had it done. I used to love driving with the windows down on a hot day, but I don't want to be all sweaty and stink by the time I get to work. I had about 4 full summers of that. I'm going to definitely take advantage of my AC now that I have it!
changed the fuel injectors for the #703. Ended up braking the plastic hose that goes from the back of the valve cover to the manifold. luckily I had some rubber hose laying around and I slipped it over the plastic. Jeep idles much smoother now. My 01 intake manifold should be here today. Going to clean it up good and do some minor porting/polishing. In the process of buying a spare 4.0L heads to port and polish as well. may go sometime this week and get a baseline dyno run.
Threw a code 31 today - Doubt it's a vacuum leak since the HVAC is working, so I'll check to see if the solenoid is still clicking.
For those that are probably wondering...code 31 is a problem with the evaporative system. Could be the cannister or the purge solenoid. The cannister on a ZJ is below the bumper, looks like a coffee can (some are square). The solenoid is an annoying clicking device by the air filter
"How the heck do you get there?"
"Duh! Big RED Jeep!!!"
I spent two hours trying to get my stupid oil filter adapter off, this is my second time with as many oil changes. After adding $20 worth of tools to my box, I still couldn't get this thing off. I guess the environment will continue to hate me, and this will have to wait another day. Oh on a good note, at least I got my oil changed.
took off the old rear bumper and started on my new even better one Got alot done welded the pieces of stell that go into the frame rail on and now done for the night also got the holes drilled out for the bolts. gonna contibue in the AM. Imn sure it will be a giant picture.. sorry lol
