It turns out this was an aftermarket, dealer installed and the only place who could repair it said they wanted 1200$ to fix it and I had to have the car there for multiple days, while I was off work and needed to pay for a hotel and food. Not going to happen. http://imgur.com/a/I8hM8 There is the build. Take a look, I for one am proud of how it turned out.
That looks damn good

Why did you bring her back down to stock? Got those parts still?

Diesel pushers are a lot better for torque and economy. Ive got one now thats got a caterperpillar c12 in it and its pushing around 800 horses and a little over 1500 lbs of torque.

Let the wifey take it to school while I changed the sway bar end links and belts in her car. I was surprised a 2002 Hyundai didn't have a serpentine!

I really hope I can find another ZJ, unfortunately the only good one in my area is asking $2,750 and won't budge despite the book value being $1,900 max.
Give them a reasonable offer say I have money in hand send them a picture of the money and your broke zj

Got my 3" cutout from Summit today. Got Kolak's 3" mandrel bent tail pipe last week. Called exhaust shop today to order Hooker Aerochamber and Hi-flow catalytic converter. Appointment set for next Wednesday to get all those parts in, and all the old crap out. They will be fabricating new downpipes/Y merger to replace the old crushed crap. They build collectors frequently so I can skip the Flowmaster collector. I'm excited to get rid of my Magnaflow and turn down.

Alrighty well this might change things. See when it comes to car shopping there isn't too much around here. I had been automatically dismissing all the v8's because well I'm very familiar with the 4.0 and I was under the impression they averaged 3 or 4 mpg less than the 4.0. Since the cost of gas was killing me as it is I just couldn't have that. What kind of mpg would a 5.2 get in stock form and how do they compare to the 4.0 in terms of reliability and ease of maintenance/repairs? I ask because the 4.0 is all I've known and there's a very reasonably priced 5.2 nearby that's the spitting image of my good'ol ZJ that I just wrecked. And honestly It'd also be nice to drive something with a little more spunk.

And in case anyone's wondering why fuel efficiency is so important when I drive a ZJ 1. I just like ZJ's and 2. For the time being I'm a delivery driver so MPG and reliability are everything.
