I honestly wonder if you have a coil that is bad and back feeding to the ECM.
Seen this happen on other cars.

No, I changed the coil pretty early on. The last thing I did this last August was change the coil again for a Mopar unit to be sure. Less than a month later, it ate another muffler and it's been parked since.

superchargers are easy dirty power but at the boost and power levels for your application i think your looking at 80 hp in the toilet at 6,000 rpm
turbos do use a few hp compared to a roots/screw/ect. supercharger that can use 25% of the power they are making or more even !
but really its about the incar experience right ? from what i know turbos are more fun , superchargers make more cool noise , both together make for an orgasm machine ( not my words ) lol
so what did i do to my zj today ? tightened the trans pan bolts and thought about how to change out the swaybar bushings but i may just have it done
My calculations put me at 250whp/250wtq with an M62 underdriven to 10psi at 4500rpm. That is exactly where I want to be. Every reasonable turbo setup for a KA either has less power than it's worth, or a fairly large boost spike with peak boost above the engine's stride. This KA hates revving past 5k. I never want it at 6k. The engine bay is also a bit cramped with the KA to get a good turbo setup sorted. Eliminating lag is difficult at best.
Believe me, I've done my research. For my specific application, the supercharger is the best option. If the KA burns out with this blower, I'm gonna swap a CA18DET in, built to make 300whp.
Anyway, today I put saving for this Orvis above my disdain for my manager. I'm not quitting yet.
1997 Grand Cherokee Orvis Edition
Finished installing front factory tow hooks.
Changed transmission fluid and filter.
Changed TC fluid.
Bled brakes of old fluid, now new and clear all around.
Dropped hitch and repainted, reinstalled with factory tank skid plate.
Replaced fog lamp bulbs.
Replaced idler pulley, that thing was noisy and shot.
Found left motor mount busted.
Made serious progress today.

Shoved mine clean through that little pin. Now a zip tie controls the headlight adjustment on the drivers side!
Mine was in an accident before i got it so my pass side headlight is held in by the inner adjuster and a piece of taped up cardboard and i dont have any real adjustment on it. I can move it towards the center and up and thats it
