Every time I hand calculate my mpg it's within 1 mpg of my overhead. I haven't swapped my Speedo gear yet either.......sooo 31's on a BB with a 5.2 = crummy gas mileage!

You're estimating based on what you just said there. I'm not attacking you so I don't appreciate the harsh response. You need to know the exact number of miles traveled with a full tank, then fill the tank back up so you know how much gas it took to drive that mileage. You then divide the number of miles driven by the amount of gas consumed. That's how you do it. No estimations involved. The only variance you'll have at that point would be where the pump shuts off. They're all pretty good now, but there will be slight variances in pumps. These wouldn't be enough to make a difference should you calculate your mileage on a regular basis.

I'm lazy when it comes to calculating my mileage, I send a text to Fuelly and get one back.

I'll top it off and give you accurate numbers to further disconclude your statement.

LOL, and that is only since this summer when we got my wife's Explorer back. So I've spent $1,510.40 on gas in about half a year.......
I just noticed a typo in one fillup....Had the price per gallon at $296.900 and not $2.969

I've spent less than one hundred dollars on fuel all year. Once filled it from empty for less than 50 cents. Fuel Perks are awesome!

I did the math recently, and in almost 4 years and about 59k miles since I bought my ZJ, I've spent close to $15k on fuel
