That's what I figured. I didn't buy the rubber gasket this time. I did on the back. We'll see if just using the gasket maker is just as good. I put Royal purple in, I bought two quarts and only needed one so I'll probably do the rear next weekend.

Wow that's cheap. Yesterday I painted the rear window vent covers on my jeep black cause they were mostly black anyhow lol.

When you use rtv, you have to only hand tighten the bolts then let it sit for an hour or so, then torque to spec

The key with rtv is use a thin bead and hand tighten the bolts let it cure for about an hour then torque them down. If the rtv starts squishing out the sides then it will more then likely leak

All i ever use is RTV on diff covers. Tighten them down, and fill. I never even wait for it to dry and have yet to have one yeak on me. Make sure to go around all the bolt holes completely.

Washed the niner in 23 degree weather...yuk. Poor things been parked outside since our move last week. Hoping to get enough crap done today so she can be parked in the garage again.

Also broke the little plastic cover off the rear wiper bolt. Friggin hose hit it and it shattered.
