lol nah just realistic. It's a great parts jeep and a scrap metal shell. Just not worth all the work to bring it back just to have it rot out again in no time. With rot like that it wont stop, it will come back in a different area.

Replaced the driver side cv shaft, got rid of the clicking but there is still a creaking in the front suspension during turns.

Also, put the back end of the (still 2wd) niner out in the rain.

Finally made er 4wd again! Picked up my shortened rear DS from the shop and got it put in, got everything except the linkage finished up at this point. Got a slight vibe at about 50 but seems to be rollin solid other than that.

We were taking bets on what would happen if you put it into 4wd like that when we swapped the front clamshell for 4.10's on my buddies taco last week. He wasn't interested in finding out.

970001zj, I don't know why anyone would want to pass a 1khz frequency at any wattage through a sub-woofer... But, a better choice of frequency for comparison may have been ~700hz... lol I don't want my mid-range speakers handling any frequencies below ~220hz... The sub I have handles the range quite effectively and efficiently... But, I'm not going to some "Bass Competition" or anything like that either... I often wonder when some make comments, where did they gain their knowledge of the facts at hand, did they study the subject for many years, or, are they only "throwing up" conjecture due to an idealogic mannerism or due to ego...

On Topic: Ordered the IRO 3.5" Benchmark lift, 1.25" wheel spacers and other goodies to make the lift "right"... Now, have to finalize my decision on tires and whether or not to keep the stock 5.9 rims, paint them black or get the Mambas...

325hz bass guy would go nuts over the 122 db sensitivity 6th order box i designed that only plays 28-45 hz

burp and certain rap songs only

nothing like 800 watts of voice tones in your subs

I've never understood people crossing a sub high. Unless you have it up front, like an mr2 or in the dash. But I'm running an active front stage with home audio speakers and fully deadened doors. With two ported 10's in the trunk crossed @60hz. My mids are crossed @80hz on a 18db slope. And my full range speakers on the dash play from 325hz up.

Back on topic. I hung up my sliders in the garage. They're primed and tomorrow I'll put some paint on them.

My comments come from years of experience and competing (not "bass competitions" either, rather SQ competitions). Not letting your mids play below 220 Hz is like not having a Jeep and not wheeling it. Most 6.5" mids will play down to at least about 100 Hz without a problem, assuming your amp is set up correctly and you're not clipping the crap out of it. I cross my mids at 63 Hz at 24 dB/oct on at 172 Wrms (my amp is rated at 125 x 4 at 4 ohms, I benched it at work on a scope at 172 x 4 at 4 ohms and 14.4 volts) in my Caprice. They take it like a champ. If you're running 5.25s instead of 6.5s in there, even they'll play pretty clean down to 125 Hz or lower depending on the speakers.

IIRC, most mono amps only reproduce up to about 500 Hz anyway. My head unit's highest cutoff point for the low frequency speaker is only 200 Hz. My Alpine V12 mono amp in my car has the high end of the frequency response at 200 Hz and a crossover that cannot be turned off, only raised to 200 Hz. Even the frequency range of my Alpine Type X 10 in my Jeep goes up to 200 Hz. As you know, there's a reason for all of that.
