First round of our move is done and I think the niner was at its limit with the full trailer. Temps stayed good and trans felt strong. I was going to wrap up the move tomorrow with one more load but I'm going to split it in 2 loads just to be safe. All in all she did well.
That was the first time I was in Louisville with me driving. I was lucky I was able to get back to the highway.

For some reason, that never crossed my mind while the whole ordeal was going on. I did, however, pull the starter relay when I stopped at a hotel about 50 miles southeast of the city. I figured it would make it harder for someone to hotwire it should they attempt to steal it.
Not much today, I got a few spare axle shafts in the mail thanks to a forum member. I'm planning to spend my saturday tomorrow changing ball joints. I'm kinda excited, i think it'll be fun. That's the only part of a dana 30 that i havent messed with so far, it shouldn't be a hard job from what i've read. Any tips from anyone? I'm going to be using an autozone loaner ball joint press to do it

You could use a 1st gen trooper carrief if you reinforce the inside of the rear hatch or you could use a swing away carrier off of a rodeo too im trying to find one off a rodeo now to make mine

Instead of doing that, try and find one from a first or second-generation Nissan Pathfinder. The Trooper/Rodeo tire carrier swings toward the driver side, which can make loading on the side of the road a precarious pain. The Pathfinder carrier swings to the passenger side (like the Mopar accessory) and makes loading easier. It's also more convenient because you move it with your right (generally dominant) hand instead of your left, or across your body.

Last three days have not been fun! Wed.,my dad was buried, he lived a good life and was a good dad. Thurs spent all day pulling the dash and air box out to do the cores, tore the box apart Thurs nite and OMG it was bad. Got it cleaned up and went to bed exhausted. Got up Fri. morning and started reassembly of the box and realised I had forgot to order one actuator lever. It just happened to be the one I broke a locater tab off. I was like a zombie by then. So, I called the Mopar dude and got him to locate the closest one. 60 miles away. Drove to get it, and by then all the fight was gone out of me. Finished reassembly about 8pm. Sat. I gotta run by Ace and pick up a roll of foam to replace the dry rotted stuff and start putting it back in the Jeep.
