The insulation on that probably isn't as durable as wire normal automotive wiring, but I bet the wire is actually a thicker gauge than normal wire. I would definitely loom that though for safety.

How is that connected to the battery? Is that just pinched between the top post and battery terminal? You'd be better off wiring in a distribution block to both terminals and powering and grounding everything properly.

yeah pinched (im more in to effectiveness more then quality)
I have used that speaker wire for years on other vehicles so I trust it

So just go pull another box and wire it up to the battery? Or the out put of the alternator

Doesn't matter, electrically the output of the alternator and the positive on the battery are the same thing

About to take a look at the steering. I'm getting a creaking noise whenever I turn somewhat quickly, usually at low speeds in a parking lot. Anyone have any ideas? My guess would be track bar or steering box. Any other places I should look/tighten up?

I was thinking ball joints too but I just greased them when I put the lift on and they look good. I just tightened the steering box, all track bar bolts (pretty loose on frame side), both steering bolts that go into the knuckle and the bolt ofd the pitman arm. We'll see if that does the trick

track bar was probably your culprit

I hope so. I got a little over a full turn out of the bolt holding it in (just with a ratchet) and about half a turn out of each bolt holding the bracket on. I have the IRO double shear set up. What causes the noise? Just track bar moving around when theres stress put on the axle when turning?

Oh and to keep on topic, I got some measurements to start planning areas for storage, tool/spare parts, and a new sub box. Within the past week, I added a 1/2" riser to my air hat. The airhat that came with my cai had an egg shaped hole

Now seals up nice to the TB
