I spent the same for mine, except no track bar. Of course 1000 of that was the tires and rims all new. So really just the lift I spent $180. Tires are what getcha, and i went with cheap re-treads!

Tires are what killed me. All 5 bfg's mounted, balanced, track bar and alignment was about $1100. Best deal in town, trust me I looked, and even if I woulda got tires online it woulda still been in the same ball park. It woulda been fine on stock size tires.......but F that.

Man, I don't even want to begin to think of how much I have in my lift/tires. That being said, here goes... My wheels and tires alone ran me about $1200. I spent another $1600 on my lift from IRO. I ditched the RC shocks a year later for some DT3000s for another $200. So what's that add up to? $3k for my 4" of lift and 31s. Stuff gets pricey when you do it right and don't have Craigslist on your side. And that's cheaping out on shocks still. I'll eventually get something nice; the DT3000s are infinitely better than the RCs though.

He'll care about the speedo when he keeps getting speeding tickets.

Amazing, since the roads in Maine are beat to hell and can tweak your alignment with your first pothole impact!
Jeep/Chrysler dealer charges 1 hour labor($85) for a 4 wheel alignment.(no guarantee)
Local shops range from $70 to $80 for a 4 wheel alignment.(no guarantee)

For a ZJ(stock, or lifted with fixed length control arms), where the only alignment adjustments are Caster and Toe in/Toe out, an alignment should be no more than $50!!!

If a "professional" is charging $300 to $400 for an alignment, they had best be ready to guarantee that alignment FOR LIFE, and throw in a steak dinner at a top end restaurant!!!

With the exception of a lifted ZJ with 8 adjustable control arms, there is no need for anything more than a $50 FRONT END alignment on a ZJ!!!

Did mine in the driveway with a digital angle gauge($30, bought just for setting Caster) and a tape measure(Toe in/Toe out).
20 minutes total adjustment time, and my alignments are free for the rest of my life, since I now own an angle gauge.

Those are the best prices I've seen in awhile. Last time I had to change one was over 10 yrs ago though in my yota, and it was like $15.

Bookmarked THAT page!

I dialed in my caster until my pinion angle was good, used a tape to set the toe, then centered the steering wheel, drove it, adjusted the steering wheels, drove it again, and adjusted again. Driveway alignments are the way to go for our vehicles. There's no sense in wasting money on a "professional" alignment for them to do a couple of things. It's not like these things are IFS with multiple adjustments and special tools needed to measure angles.

You're very lucky about the CL deal... And if you didn't get those springs free, that would have been costing you a lot more, plus stock 5.9 springs aren't giving a 5.2 4" lift in the rear I bet.
