I probably would've gone with a different brand but one of my buddies had ordered one and ended up getting rid of his vehicle so I got it for about a third of the price new

Put new upper and lower ball joints on passenger side. Stooped at parts store for new wheel bearing, fig mite as well since I'm gonna have it apart. Welp didn't know u have to buy the whole hub assembly, si put that on too. I'm not to sure it don't ride worse than before!! Ughhhh. Oh also put my throttle body spacer in (that I made!) Very nice if I do say so myself.

When i bought my 5.9 i got a stack of receipts with it. 5 receipts for the plenum gasket in 163K miles plus the first one done under warranty at 36k miles. I replaced it again which makes it the 7th time but i did it right using the aluminum plenum pan and a Mopar gasket set. No problems yet and that was over 30k miles ago.
They don't all fail super-early, although some do. It's just luck of the draw, it seems. Mine was original when I got my Jeep and was only leaking slightly (1 small tear in the gasket) when I replaced it at 102k.

Mine wasn't very bad either when I did mine. Had just shy of 100k on it. But I knew the issue and was swapping it out since the PO had broken a few bolts off in it

When i bought mine it was pinging even with the required 93 octane fuel. I pulled the intake and i honestly couldnt see any issue with the gasket. Put the new gasket set on and the aluminum pan and it's been great ever since. I couldnt see the problem but it was obviously there.

Replaced the shift linkage on my ZJ. Finally think I got it dialed in. But since this is my first 4WD, is it normal to take a while for the transfer case to shift back into 2WD? Or does y'alls shift as soon as you shift the lever?

Ya know my 242 in my 5.9 has ALWAYS taken a bit to click back into 2wd. Sometimes i gota goose it and you hear it pop out. I think its the linkage out of adjustment jut im not sure. I never use 4wd so i really never bothered to look into it but i guess i should just so i know it all works properly.

Pretty sure it takes a sec for the tcase to switch since its a shift on the fly system. Mine does the same thing.

Found a cool old wooden crate and used it to organize my recovery gear in the back. Bungee cords fit perfectly through the slots and anchors down to the tabs. Pretty pleased and cost me $0 woohoo!

Pulled the front seats to thoroughly clean the carpet.
Broke a seat bolt in the floor.
Spent a couple hours and a few drill bits getting remaining bolt out without damaging anchor.
Found a problem with a sunroof cable.
Cleaned carpet.

Pull the carpet, soak with hose, spray with simple green, scrub, hose off and let dry for a few days, reinstall. I do this with every single used vehicle i buy and it works great.

Made a little more progress on my Flatland 4x4 bumpers

Starts like this

I'm very happy with how everything is going. The plans left me with a few questions since it's my first time doing anything like this (no CAD experience or MIG welding experience) but I was able to figure it out. Can't wait to get the bumpers done and then long arms installed! I'm not sure why I waited this long to learn how to weld, I personally think I'm very damn good at it.

Installed my 2'' Spacers in the Front and I went with a 1'' Spacer in the Rear It looks pretty even to me now both front and rear are at like 20'' from center of Axles to wheel well opening. ( Pic attached )
Now to find some 31x10.5x15 Tires at a reasonable price.

I found I need front and rear sway bar bushing and a left side axle boot.
Also found a little play in the right front hub bearing.
I may do the sway bar links next weekend but I think I'm going to hold off on the Boot and the Hub bearing ( 2014 Spring or Summer Project )
