Sorry if you've already explained this on here, somewhere, and I've overlooked it...

Just need/want to know if it's anything I need to be concerned about with my 9er...

Wheelin a couple weekends ago and a rock jumped out and bit a piece off the outer rim. It held air fine since then but I don't wanna take any chances.

Finally got around to adjusting my trans shift linkage. Got tired of pulling it down into neutral to start and the general loose feel of the shifter

Years ago all my relatives lived in panama city so as kids we made that haul every two weeks. Thats how I judge water quality because destin bridge had water back then you could see a speck on the bottom, not now, sadly. You're a stones throw from the canal.

Ok, thanks for the rapid response... I agree, it would drive me nuts knowing I had a rim in that condition going down the road at 80mph...

Have you located a replacement? Not sure if RockAuto has any more in stock in that style... They only had a couple left the last time I checked because I need a spare... If so, they're wanting $127 plus shipping for one, iirc... Don't know why, but, every ZJ that I've bought has been missing the spare.... lol

They were able to reuse the wheel for my spare thankfully. I'll be on the lookout for a single wheel though. I found a set of 5 by me but he wants $350....yikes lol

Structurally, there is nothing wrong with that wheel.
That is only the wheel weight lip.
The bead area of the wheel goes down farther than what is missing.
It looks bad, but I've seen a lot worse, that's for sure.
Probably not legal for an inspection, depending on your state's laws....
As a spare, that will do just fine.
Still sucks though...

Yeah definitely does suck. If I damage another one bad enough that'll be my excuse to get some steelies and 32's ;-)

Started welding my Flatland 4x4 bumpers together. I've only got about 1 hour of MIG experience and about 18 hours of TIG experience. I was using MIG to do this.

Drove from Fort Worth back to Corpus Christi pulling a 5'X8' Uhaul at 65-70 MPH, averaging 15 MPG. This little 4.0L ran like a champ pulling that trailer. I was impressed. Tomorrow shes getting the 4WD linkage mod completed as my linkages finally came in the mail
