I started to change front lower control arms today.
Found that my lower control arm mounts on the axle are almost rusted away completely.
Let's put it this way, they're pretty flexible without the control arm bolted in place....
Gotta change out to the spare D30 I have... SOON!!

Used it to pull the wives car home after she had an accident on the wet, busy, hwy 98. it was right in front of our neighborhood so it was a short trip. She is fine but her ego and her new (to her) hyundia are in not so good shape. Time to call my buddy the body guy.......again. this time outa pocket sadly:-(

96 ZJ sittin up 6" on 35's with 4:56's and a 12k winch. Cuz...why the hell not!?

Getting a 8.8 either sometime this week, or next weekend for $50. So started pricing some parts for that.

Also bought the stuff I needed to re-do my entire exhaust once my headers come in.

Yea, they blow.

Worst part is in the 3 hrs following the accident, there where 3 OTHER accidents due to rubber neckers taking out a total of 9 vehicles! When will people learn?

Best part is its incentive to get the ol pickup back on the road since it'll be cheaper then body parts fo the time being. I love my jeep but I miss my 1500 too.

I always hated ft walton hwy 98 traffic. Hulburt and eglin dumping out in the afternoons and there was so much radar in the air you could have popped corn just holding the bag out of the window. I started out making the crestview to ft walton run and later, the ft walton to west run. Both sucked. Hope all turns out well.Only pleasant memory was occasionally having a C130 blow over the top of your vehicle at low altitude when you passed the end of the runway.

I hate it too. Need to get off this damn highway. That runway your talking about is less then 1/2 mile down the road from me!

Unsure of gearing. But a 97 exploder. Ill be putting in 4.56s before it goes under the jeep anyways.

OT; Tossed this little sticker on that came with the lock right,


I think I'm gonna have my friend bring over his dremal today so I can finally trim these big *** fenders back some! I might work on my air intake as well, OH and maybe my u-joints will get here so I can change them out in the rear driveshaft. Oh the joys of a free saturday

My locsl yard has 2 for $68 each. Plus a couple more around $100 lol

Getting my broken wheel swapped to the spare wheel on the niner finally. Just hope the broken one can still be used as a spare.

What caused the wheel to break?
