i went to home depot 15 miles down the road in 90+ degrees towing a fairly heavy trailer with no a/c (needs to be recharged). i think the zj hated it just as much as i did. usually the engine temp gauge reads half way between 210 and the line to the left. today it was reading half way between 210 and the line to the right.

Eh.. jeep is being a jeep.
Rear pass. Side IRO spring looks like it broke at the top. Have to take my wheel off and check it out. Sagging hard as ****.
Also got new tires. Jeep feels like a beast with 33s.
Also started trimming my rear. Need to finish and weld.

since nobody responded, these tires are the new BFG Rugged Terrain. They are the most agressive 50k mile tire i had seen. they must have come out in the last month b/c if you google it you wont find it. the only place i viewed the tire is tirerack and on BFG's homepage. Looks like it would be a quality tire for you DD/ weekend warrior or desert/beach guys

Goodyear wrangler authority is the most agressive 50k tire I have seen. And pretty affordable too.

That's the ones with the triangles right?
Not affordable if you price them at my local wally world.
These are much quieter than the wrangler rts. Well see once they get worn in a little.
i was suprised that the tread war nearly .5" deep. here is the only way to see the specs on them http://www.bfgoodrichtires.com/tire-...rain-t-a-tires
EDIT: you inspired me to go back and look at the authority, nowhere could i find anything reffering to any type of mileage. Apparently they are made only for walmart. great offroad reviews but sound seemed to be a common reply.

did the same thing but used 2.4 stratus injectors free as well works great with the 5spd heres a few pics to show the difference. I do not think neon injectors will work they are shorter then the 2.4 stratus ones i compared them at the junkyard.

Removed that wonderful Track bar relocation bracket.. (Sarcasm) and threw it in the scrap pile. Fabbed up a new track bar bracket on the frame (the other one shattered to say the least) then drilled it out welded it and installed my new JKS adjustable rear track bar. so now no more worrys for that.
also welded the D-rings on the front of my winch bracket as well. just need to weld on my light tabs then finish with the paint. then that will be installed.

today
I got the radiator in the 9er and went for the first test spin. And I found more issues! Super bummed. I am going to be doing front calipers next as the drivers front must be locked up (I could tell by the red-hot rotor) and I still have to get tires.
the Laredo is preparing to have the tranny dropped so I can put a new rear main seal in it (friggin oil leaking badly) and I also need to replace the steering box. Anyone have any tips for dropping the tranny and t-case? I will be putting the axles on jack stands and crawling under it...

I have seen a few people talk of changing the injectors. Can you describe the process of selecting injectors, why you chose what you did and how difficult the install is?
Also, the 9er I just got had bad gas... A friend said that the reason it is not firing right away is that the injectors may be plugged. it does run great after it starts. Any thoughts on that?

i also did alot of research on the injectors the 2.4 stratus and cirrus injectors are a direct swap just have to get 2 off another motor since the 2.4 is only a 4cyl its a simple as removing the fuel rail and pulling the old injectors out and putting the new one in its a very simple swap. I notice i have alittle bit more power when in second gear my jeep seemed to bog before now it runs great.

Affordable? Maybe they're different price in yours, but my wally world is $210 per tire for 265/75/16's. I got 4 guard dogs in the same size shipped for less than half of that (per tire). Plus everyone's saying you should get 30-40k out of treadwrights anyway, I'll take the guard dogs
