True. However, unlike in the North, Florida is always warm, therefore always busy and filled with retarded drivers. Where as here, it dies off almost completely after labor day lol

Got + wires from the battery fuse box and to starter. Gonna clean the connections at the fuse box tomorrow too.
The factory wiring is positive wire from the battery to the fuse box and then from the fuse box to the alternator charging stud. Sounds normal to me as long as there is also a wire running from the fuse box to the alternator.

took her on a 200 mile round trip to the desert today for a little cruise now that the rear diff doesnt make a whole bunch of funny noises. wish i had the power of a V8 when on the highway and dealing with the hills around here; OD switched off humming along at 3k rpm in 3rd at 65 for miles up the grades gets kinda annoying. managed a nice 15.7mpg, not calculating for the 31s tho.

gotta do something about my steering, poor thing is still a handful to drive

New control arm bushings make the biggest difference for me on the highway with helping wandering. A brand new steering box also made an improvement but the bushings made more.

i have poly bushings in the lower arms and the other week replaced front and rear upper arms w/bushings as well as the front upper axle bushings. pretty much the only thing left is steering box and linkage (i did replace the linkage with V8 parts a bit ago that was in a lot better shape than my factory stuff)

Yeah so I am officially a *******. After changing the alternator, the battery and cleaning every ground and power wire connection I decided to check the fuses again and both Alternator fuses were blown the whole time. I checked them before but I guess I didn't look at them very well. Running fine now.

Fuses dont blow for no reason. Chances are the alternator was fried and caused them to blow. If thats not the case, it will happen again so check over everything and make sure you dont have a short.

Did my trans filter/fluid. Used a felpro gasket and so far no signs of leakage anywhere (which I'm pretty sure I had before, slightly). Used 5 quarts then siphoned out another quart and topped it up. Spent the rest of the day cleaning atf off of everything I touched and washing that **** off of me.

taught the girl how to change the jeeps oil. Switched over to full synthetic after about 6 oil changes with blend. Dropped the weight since winters around the corner...ugh never got to drop the skid plates and line them with rustoleum. Hopefully can do that before it snows.
