I've heard that as well, however I didn't wanna regeret it later either so I scoped it out online and found it at 4wheel parts for $3.99 so I figured for that price why not just get a new one.

Removed the adjustable transfer case linkage shaft from the Jeep to work on freeing the rusty *** adjuster and finally got it to break free after working on it for 30-45 minutes. Then I reinstalled it and was able to adjust it to the proper the length so now the 231 shifts into all gear selections properly.

Also swapped the plugs behind the VIC earlier today before dealing with the seized up adjuster on the linkage.

Then took her out to test all gear selections offroad and she worked like a champ. Did a small celebratory donut before heading home.

I think its the BCM from what ive read with the fuse in they'd stay on all the time, so i pulled the relay for the courtesy lights. They don't come on when you open the doors, but i can still click them on. The wife will be happy she doesnt have to use a flashlight anymore.

Replaced my smashed reverse light and recentered my steering wheel yesterday. Tomorrow it'll get a good wash and I'll put the driver's side rocker cover back on. New front LCAs are coming in Thursday, so those will go on Thursday night or Friday morning.

I got Moog arms with bushings for around 30 bucks each from Rock Auto, the whole arms weren't that much more than the bushings, and that way I didn't have to deal with removing and installing the bushings.
Still gotta do my lower rear ones though, the metal sleeve is nearly completely gone.

I ordered the Rough Country x-flex LCAs (rubber bushing on the axle end, flex joint on the body side). $180 for a pair directly from RC (under $200 shipped). I decided I'm done with stock type LCAs, as this is the second time I've bent the right front on a rock.

Just put fiberglass over a couple of small rust holes I had underneath the rear cargo area carpet.
Brushed, cut, and sanded the rust away first, sanded the paint down, then applied my cloth and resin.
Waiting for it to cure, then I'll go out and sand again, then one more coat of resin, then primer and paint.
I'll seal up the bottom side tomorrow.
