Finally got it to stop throwing CELs due to the narrowband emulation from the wideband controller, wired up some more of the feeds for datalogging and am going to be taking it to the dragstrip tonight.

Did you cross your fingers behind your back when you promised her that?

Drove to lunch and saw a lifted white Dub-J with a Jeepforum.com sticker in the back window.

The 240 needs some stuff, is getting 1mpg more than the Jeep, and has mostly inop HVAC, which is a big damn deal with these 100+ degree days, in a black car with no tint. Also, it's more expensive to insure, which is why we took it off and put the Jeep on, before the Jeep broke again.

All the bushings are dead, both swaybar links are shot, the ball joints are all shot, and the track bar is among both the bushing and balljoint wear victims. It's also shorter than it needs to be. Also, that shock that dismounted needs replacing. For the parts I want, it's looking like right around $600, including my employee discount on the drag link at O'Reilly.

At the moment, I have $700 to my name.

You may find some stuff at the JY in good shape you can use. I always check there first because I'm a cheap bastard.

I wouldn't say it's better to ask for forgiveness than permission; I'd say it's easier to beg for forgiveness than ask for permission. Key word: beg.

Nice. Your jeep strategically broke down in order to make you look good. What a wingman.

Put a new headlight switch in. Hope it fixes the super dim dash lights and auto headlights that can't make up their mind (already soldered the old switch).

If you don't have one already, get yourself an Amazon Prime account. It's $70/yr. but you get free two day shipping, among a bunch of other things.

You'll end up cheaper than the local parts store, even with your employee discount. Trust me, I spent 7 years working for the Green Mafia.

Finally resoldered my VIC to get rid of the coolant sensor bad warning. It had done it a few times before randomly and then stopped doing it for months then this last month or so it has been doing it multiple times every time I drive it, finally annoyed me enough to fix it.
