Got my brakes bled. They're good and firm now. Still have the noise in my front axle. Probably in denial about it needing rebuilt but I'm gonna get all 4 wheels up and check EVERYTHING.

Ground off the crappy welds I did the other day on my winch mount and did them over again.

Much easier MIG welding with .035" wire, than .023" wire.(and if you remember to turn the gas bottle on, that helps too....)
At least on the thick stuff anyway....

Finished welding, then I wire wheeled the whole unit and gave it a rushed rattle can paint job, just to keep the rust from setting in overnight.

I love it!! 3x as stout as a Rough Country winch mount, less than one third the cost, and it's my own design!!

No pics. Files are too big to post here, me not being a supporting member.
Oh, well.... I can still see it...

Pocked up an airhat from a durango at the JY. I rigged it into my 5.2, yes my 5.2. The stock tube is stretched basically all the way. I clamped it together (stock clamps arent strong enough) and it looks like it should be there almost. It is a little tight, gotta slam the hood to close and the hats getting squished alittle, but fits. I have the rest of my intake rigged up for pretty high flow and hi topped if off, i can notice alittle more pick up for sure from before the "highflow" i rigged

I got a new 50 series flowmaster installed to replace the 40 that was starting to rust out. Had the exhaust adjusted over so hopefully it won't hit the rear driveshaft under flex. Had the tailpipe cut and welded to move the exhaust tip up. And had the RR axle seal replaced. Another $300 spent on the jeep. Good thing I had an extra muffler sitting around, or it would've been at least $400.

Rolled down my window and that's where it stayed. Of course it was raining. Pulled the driver's door panel and pulled apart the window switch. Resoldered everything remotely corroded and works like new.

Well, this happened

Luckily I had my toolkit on hand, so I spent about 5 minutes getting the two lower bolts out and I tossed it in the back. Looks like the Jeep is getting retired from highway duty for awhile. I don't know if I should fix it, or save my money- I'm buying a motorcycle in January.

You broke a shock so you are grounding the ZJ? Am I missing something here?

Made a resistor box for my "Check Oil Level" sensor that has been driving me nuts. I know its a little overboard, but it was easy. Also shopped around for headliner material.

I broke a shock, on top of the $550 in front end parts I need, and a couple noises I'm not sure of, so I'm not sure if it'd be more prudent to fix the Jeep at great cost, drive the 240SX, or just limp the Jeep to work and school.

Now, regardless of what I choose to do with the Jeep, I'm buying a bike in January. A new CBR250 would make an excellent commuter, between the fuel economy and the chance to build some credit. In the in-between I do need to save some money to buy gear and attend a training course.

I may have other options open to me as far as the Jeep goes. For the time being, it needs about $600 in parts for the front end. I think if I keep the speed under 45 and only drive to school and work, I should be able to drive it like this until the end of the month, when I'll have a bit more money and can possibly do that.

It's going to dent your hood.
