This thread is to serve as an inspiration to others modifying their ZJ's. Pretty simple, just post what you did to your ZJ today!

Today I shamefully took my Jeep to get the oil changed because it was to hot to change it myself.

Depending on the terrain, I run as low as 8 sometimes... Ever drive on sand dunes?
Sadly, the most offroading I've done in years was driving around our couple acres of flatish property in the snow.. Never had sand dunes where I used to live, need to get a winching Buddy before I'm willing to try it in FL sugar sand but I'd cut tire pressure to the minimum I could go(what, like 12psi on factory rims?)

Side note, got those seats shampooed and ready to go in. Probably gonna pull mine out, shampoo the carpet super good then put these in, next weekend. Ran out of time this week for it.

Still a bit wet from cleaning so that's not stains all over it, my phone cam just sucks lol

Well finally got the damn skid plate up, as well as the hitch. Looks good, the hitch is tucked in about as much as an OEM one would. The receiver is maybe 1" below the bumper cover. However I'm going to need to get a grinding stone for my dremel. The holes I made for the last 2 bolts on the skid plate are to narrow, it's secured by the 4 studs for now.

I run around 15psi offroad, 36psi on. I think one time I got as low as 11psi on one tire out at Bridgeport. Didn't give me any problems. I'd say below 12psi or so you start asking for trouble without beadlocks. However, at 15psi I never struggled for traction. The Wrangler SRAs on the Laredo were competent, but these KL78 ATs are simply amazing. Great on-road characteristics, and more traction than I was expecting from tires this cheap and multipurpose, offroad.

Today I took advantage of the cool weather and finally extracted the head from the Niner, and it turns out it's just a bad gasket... Is what I'd like to say. I didn't end up working on the Jeep today, despite the cool weather, because I had to work a mid shift at the parts house. Melody turned in her two weeks today. That, combined with Rudy going to the new store and Fabian being fired means we're REALLY shorthanded now. Maybe now I'll get my shot at a full-time position.

Here's hoping for ya man! I'm about to apply for a new job if my boss doesn't give me anything decent and soon. 16hrs a week with a 3+hr daily drive just isn't worth it for $9/hr..

The no decent hours or pay is why Melody's gone to a local comic book store. She was full time and rarely broke 30 hours by much margin. And $8/hr, same as me. Of course that $8/hr is a big part of why I'm hurting for cash. 20-25hrs a week at $8/hr means I can hardly afford gas, let alone other pursuits. Like rock rails or big brakes.

Of course, all of my attempts at a new job thus far have failed. So I'm stuck here for the time being.

At least you don't live down here.. The interstate contractors told me they get $20/hr down here while they get $60/hr for the exact same stuff in the northern states 0_o makes me wanna move back up north all the more. IT network specialist is sounding better every day

I've been seriously considering getting into rig pigging. It's hard work, it takes you from your family, and it gives you little time for yourself. But man does it pay well for the uneducated.

Thus far, the cost-benefit analysis thereof has not justified that decision. I'm pursuing other venues. I'd practically kill to get on at SoftLayer at this point.

To make $60/hr up north as a contractor, you've got to either be really specialized, be in the game for a long time, work OT and "claim" that as your wages, or suck a lot of union ****. Also, if doing construction with up north, you better save and be ready to be laid off all winter.

Depending on where you live, yes, it's high. I live in Indiana and work in Chicago. I make Chicago pay but pay the Indiana cost of living. It works out greatly in my benefit. Also, as a non union engineer, I make a salary that pays overtime. When times are slow, instead of getting laid off, I go spend 8 hours in the office and keep getting paid.
