Installed my Hughes performance aluminum deep trans pan. Added four quarts. Adjusted my front band and TV cable as well. Love the shifts. Nice and firm.

Made some good progress on my electric fan today. I got the mechanical fan out by using an air chisel on the nut to get it to start spinning. I got my Taurus fan installed using some metal brackets. I also found out the control box I wired up fits extremely well where I wanted it. I'll get pics of everything and how I did it when it's all done.

Are you using the Flex-A-Lite controller?

Picked up a replacement flowmaster 50 series from a friend. Mine has some rust holes starting.

And I drove it around to 3 different parts stores to do the rear brakes on my town car. Nobody had everything in stock.

No. Against better judgment on some reviews I've read, I got a Hayden 3647 for the low speed on the fan. I'm using a 70 amp relay for the high speed. It's all going to a 3 way on/off/on switch. One position will allow the fan to turn on using the 3647; the other will run the fan on high. Because I've read a few negative things about the 3647, I'm wiring in 12V LEDs to the load side of both relays to show when the fans actually turn on. That way I'll know if I burn up anything. The control box I got was a scrap Hoffman junction box we were throwing away at work. The 3647 and the 70 amp relay fit perfectly inside and it mounts neatly next to the air box after moving the purge solenoid down and out of the way. Keep an eye on my build for some pics when I get it all finished up. It should be pretty cool. The only thing I'm worried about now is our radiators not liking probes with the way the plumbing is inside them...

Probably a good call on the Flex-A-Lite, both that we tried failed within a few cycles of the fan.

The overall design of the Hayden is pretty simple. The most common failure is the 40 amp relay that's in it. I guess I can just carry an extra 40 amp relay in the glovebox just in case. I've got a couple extras somewhere around here.

Un-stuck the temp control door in my HVAC so I have heat again. It's not terribly hot though, so I wonder if the new heater core isn't sealing properly to the box (and allowing air to bypass it) or something.

Sits about an inch higher than the crossmember. It's too dark for a pic right now. If u still want one I'll snap it tomorrow sometime
