Replaced ruined drivers side door. With a different color one But it needed one bad. When you have to ratchet strap the door closed you know its time. Picked it up for $50 at the JY. And $5 for the whole wiring harness. Gonna work on the wiring tomorrow. My $1600 vacation bonus should be here soon. Time to start looking into my next project!

Got the water pump in and everything tidied up. Then I called a tow service to see about having it towed to a shop I trust in the morning. It's a sad day for my wallet and my soul.

I did like 8 trips to O'Reilly today about that damn water pump

Replaced the power steering pump, pulley, pressure hose in the niner. No more leaking hose, no more blowing pulleys, I hope.

My used e code headlight kit showed up today without the rectangular plastic clips. When I asked the seller where they were, he said to take them off my plastic headlights. Hopefully they don't break when I try to remove them.

I really don't want to wait for new plastic clips from Kolak.

I managed to not break any when I did e codes in the niner. Wish I had thought to get the clips though.

Everything else is there. It's even wired with resistors so I don't get a bulb out message and it has the 9004 ends on it. So I don't have to cut any of the stock wiring. And at $150 less than buying it all new, I'll deal with some missing plastic clips.

Last night I:
Beefed up the tranny mount .......

Then primed and painted it

Then primed the cross member as well and bolted it in for the 36th time to check clearances for some gussets.....you can see the 3rd link /lower link relationship here...

Then I welded up said gussets, I went polished off the rest of my 2nd 2lb spool this week so I said screw it and through a 10lb roll on...

Found out that when my gauge shows 1/8 of a tank and the overhead says dte is 31, it really means you're out of gas...

Put a new passenger side sway bar end link in. Akko broke the first one I tried to put in, twisted off the upper stud.

Took it to a shop where it took 6 hours to do a quoted 1.7 hour steering box replacement. The steering is tight again, except for the upper tie rid ball joint which decided it had finally had it, once we got everything put back together. The steering is also dangerously out of alignment. Seriously, I'm thinking I've got double digits before the tires die at this rate. Also, since I haven't installed the fan yet, you better believe it was a harrowing drive back home in light traffic.
