Found out why my mirror adjustment switch only adjusted two directions. Fixed!

Have also been working on all the other electrical issues this Jeep has. Pulled VIC, couldn't find any broken solders, so I guess the "Oil Level Low" and "Rear Hatch Open" sensors are just bad. May clip them both as I don't have much need for them...

Replaced the muffler/tailpipe a few days ago. Replaced the serpintine belt, and idler pulley yesterday, and today me and a friend replaced the valve head gasket and adjusted the steering to tighten it up. Also used a carpet cleaner on the carpets, didn't have much of an effect. Yesterday i spent 20 min vacuuming the interior and used a whole box of mcguiars interior cleaner on all surfaces. Then washed the exterior and did a rough clean of the engine bay, also cleaned the valve head cover when it was off, which was incredibly dirty. The tint strip on the windshield turned yellow over time, so next im going to put a 20% tint strip to cover it. Bought a wire brush, sand paper and rustoleum can to try to stop rust in the frame, which luckily is only in one spot. Im on a roll

Only thing now is the steering is 'ok' not too sloppy, but to get the car to go straight you need to hold the wheel at like 30DEG to the right. put it in the center and the car goes to the left slowly. Ideas?

I drove my little girl home through six inches of snow last year. I took her on a lot of light wheeling trips to help her sleep at night.

Had a productive rest of the day. Got my brackets built for the 4WD linkage, fixed my interior light always on, and fixed the mirror adjustment from earlier. I'd say it was a good day. I've got more to work on tomorrow...

Replaced the heater core and the A/C evap. The old evap was gross and 90% clogged with dirt. I never knew a ZJ HVAC fan could push so much air! Now I just have to hook up the heater core, change an A/C line, replace the condenser and get the system charged and she'll be good to go.

Went and scored a set of (5) 15x8 TJ 5-hole factory alloys for it today for $40!!! My 32s will like those better than the 15x7 factory ZJ alloys!

Started out only planning to change ball joints, however when I started taking everything apart I noticed both of my cv boots were blown out. Not a huge deal since I had to take em out to do the ball joints anyway, just kind of annoying since I just changed them in october. I still have the lifetime warranty on them however I think I've decided at this point that If they blow out again I'm probably going swap in u joint shafts. I also re torqued my trans pan bolts since I had a sligt leak. Went for a test drive after after I got everything put back together and I still have death wobble. To date I've replaced all of the tie rod ends, put in a new track bar with the lift, changed the lower control arm bushings, and all 4 ball joints. I'm hoping that getting an alignment will get er dialed in because this death wobble is driving me off the wall!!

Align it yourself. It's easy to do. There isn't much for adjustments on there. All you need is a tape measure. An extra set of hands is also useful.
