To you guys talking about the sunstrips on the windshields, when I got my ZJ, the first thing I did was tint the windows. I had the guy do a 9" sunstrip on the windshield. I really liked it. However, I think the novelty of it wore off. I got my windshield replaced a couple weeks ago and have no sunstrip now. I'm digging it without it. It looks better from the outside. Inside, I don't have a black strip blocking my vision at night. It is a little rough in the morning or evening driving into the sun though. I'm 99% positive I'm not going to have another one installed on this windshield. I do like my tint though. All my vehicles have been tinted with the exception of my Nitro because that's a company lease vehicle (although I'm seriously contemplating tinting the front windows to match the rears).

To keep this on topic, I finished painting my sliders today, hopefully. I let them sit outside overnight last night on cardboard. Bad idea. The cardboard stuck because the paint wasn't fully dry yet apparently even though I let it sit longer than the recommended handling dry time and the conditions yesterday were perfect for painting. Anyway, I cleaned it all off and have them sitting on my brick patio now. I only had to touch up one side of each because of the cardboard. Let's just say I'm glad I'm not putting these on for looks because the paint looks like a home brew paint job now.

I love the 5% in my truck! Totally eliminates the need for sunglasses any time of day here in sunny FL. But it wouldn't work in the jeep. When I'm out in the woods I wanna see them, but I need a shade or two on the front windows.....cuz it sunny FL!

Backing up at night is a difficult task for me. My rear window meters at 3% and the rest of the back windows meter at about 5%. My two fronts are at 18%. I like it because it helps keep it cool in there in the summer. Also, if I take my daughter in there, I know she's not baking in the sun.

Well, drove it around running some errands. Let it idle for 10+ minutes twice today, and both times it died. And then wouldn't start. After multiple tries it would turn over but not start. Then eventually would crank like Nuthin. Checked out the fuel pressure regulator, and it was making a quiet hissing sound. I could smell fuel in its vicinity pretty strong, and noticed a drop of fuel underneath it. So I guess my problem is indeed the pressure regulator. Any recommendations on dependable brands? Also picked me up a Haynes manual today.

on top of fixing my heated seats and scrubbing my interior. I fought for an hour or two to remove my rusted muffler with a hacksaw and hammer. Got a glass pack installed. Every V8 I have ever owned has had glasspacks. I love that sound. I also charged my AC it now blows at 36 degrees. So long crappy gas milage, hello super crappy gas milage. Next up I need to figure out how to pull the tailpipe out without removing the track bar.

Yea, dark places I gotta crack the windows to see the side mirrors for backing up......small price to pay to be able to make faces at people in broad daylight at stop lights and they can't see you!

It's fun!!

I got my fronts tinted 18% last year and is just very slightly darker than the rear windows almost a perfect match cant tell unless you really stare at it so Id guess 20% factory tinted glass.

My tint is 20% and might be a tiny bit darker than the front. So im guessing the rears were probably 15-20% new and have faded to 20-25% with age.

I tintee my fronts at 15% and they match. The only difference is in the slight color difference in the tint but none in the darkness. On a side note. The privacy glass isnt really tinted that is from the factory. It more colored glass I believe.

The rears should be about 18%, give or take a little. They won't fade over time. They're tinted with stain, not a film. The very back window is a little lighter. If I recall correctly, it's something like 25%. This was for the factory auto dimming mirror. On my ZJ, I have 18% tint applied to the front two windows, 18% over the factory tint on the back windows, and 5% on the very back window over the factory tint.

Got the niner to start again and adjusted the tv cable, no more trans shifting problems!

Took the bumper off the green one (again) which means its not drivable until I finish the new stuff for the bumper.
