I drove up to Kalamazoo with my Nitro to pick up my JCR stage 3 sliders for my ZJ today. They're currently outside drying. I've already primed them and applied the first top coat to one side. This is going to be a couple day painting project for me with the time I have allotted to me to do projects.

Wrapping up my heater core replacement. So far so good, no unaccounted for electrical connectors, and it appears I'll only have one left over bolt!
However, I noticed that I can now move the steering column up and down about have an inch and I never had this issue before. The two bolts that mount it in place are snug, but it appears there is a gap between the base of the column and the firewall and this is where my movement is coming from. Any idea how to fix that?

Finally put my swaybar back on. My links were bad, so I bit the bullet and bought a set of Moog end links. $88 and 3 hours later, I finally remember what it feels like to not have to endure a full ab workout through every turn
I was driving on the freeway today and crusing at 70and went to try cruise and had to play with the cruise button for like 5 mins to.turn crusie on. Is that just mines wierd or is everyones that way?
On mine, once you use cruise once, if you hit the on/off switch on the wheel, cruise will never work again until I turn the jeep off then back on. I can cancel my speed with the brake pedal just fine and still be able to reset cruise though. Weird.

removed my front seats to fix the heating elements. noticed how bad the carpets were under them. (looked like PO had a dog vomit in the car several times) Once elements were fixed I decided to shampoo the carpets. carpets look like they are 15 years old again. They made the plastic look bad so out came the armor all. shiny plastic made the leather look bad so out came the leather conditioner. Supple leather made the windows look dirty so out came the windex. reflections made the headliner look like crap.... headliner still looks like crap! Seats back in and roast my hiney REAAAL good.
Pulled the rear window wiper motor. and it is locked up/burned out. needs to be replaced.
Started diagnosing my non-working horn. (never worked since I got it) no shorts in the wiring.
I can hear the horn button click when i press it. I can't get the horns out to test them properly.
Still need to clean the contacts and see if that fixes anything.
Never scoff at help when it is offered, It's usually a long walk home.
