Decided I was gonna look into possibly getting a set of treadwrights to save some money to put towards other mods i wanna do but their web site says they discontinued the 33x1250r15 size all together. Can anyone recommend a decent set of mud terrains that won't break the bank? Discount tire quoted me just over a grand for a set of MTR's and I'm not real sure if I wanna drop that much on rubber yet with all the other stuff I still wanna get done.

Considering you have to buy 5, any set you go with will be over $1,000

This, unfortunately. The downside to AWD and 4WD is there is no tolerance for mismatched tires.

I'm going to swap in an np231 before I pick up new rubber so the tolerances won't be quite as much of an issue as far as the spare goes. The $1000 discount quoted me was for 4 mtr's mounted and balance and all that good stuff not 5.

You'll still need 5 if you plan on doing any real offroading. That's also not a terrible price for 4 ready to go.

Called the JY closest to me for a price on a new liftgate. My current one is rusting to bad to mess with it. At least the rust is not visible from the outside yet. To bad they don't have one

I definitely plan on getting a full size spare, I was just thinking I would get a used one since ill be getting rid of the 249 before I get the new tires anyway. I might talk to a buddy that runs a hot rod shop and see if he would let me mount and balance whatever new tires I buy at his shop to save some cash. Although I don't think discount still warranties their tires if they don't mount and balance them.

Can't tell if it's the weep hole or timing cover gasket actually.

I think Treadwright re-treads known brands as well... Thing is, you give them a brand (NOT MODEL) and size and they will re-tread a set for you. The thing with that is, say you wanted a set of 33x1250r15 MTR's. You might tell them you want a set of MTR's, but they can't guarantee the model. So you may end up getting a set of re-treaded Goodyear Duratrac's instead of your MTR's. It's a gamble, but it could pay off... Just a thought.
