Got my passenger side ball joints and brakes done, everything tightened up and freshly greased, replaced some miscellaneous things I picked up from the yard and drove it around only to realize my speedometer quit and my driveshaft vibrates at what I'd guess is around 45-50 mph. So adding that to the list for tomorrow lol. It all has to be resolved by Monday so I can get an alignment and have her be ready for big long distance trips the next two weekends.

Got my wiring harness for the a pillar lights wired up. The fancy-*** switches I used for the coms override and the a pillar lights interfere with each other by bridging ground, so the light come on with the ignition and half the radios come on with the lights. Bugger, maybe I'll just get some ****ty cheap switches since I can't see them light up anyway.

went wheeling to a bonfire in 2wd (blew apart cv joint on front driveshaft previous weekend), went in, got out, drove home on highway, dropped my shotgun rider off at her place and immediately afterwards snapped the drivers side front axleshaft leaving her street....

How did you manage to break an axleshaft with no driveshaft? Just a lot of binding?

Believe me, i'm just as confused as you are. But chances are because i took a really sharp turn without 4wd keeping tension, the shaft overextended and snapped. This is just a guess though

I think you have bigger issues at hand right here...

Adjusted the pinion angle a bit and no more vibes up to 80!(that's where I held her since it was a 55 mph road) She floated so smooth at that speed and figured out I put my new speedometer gear in wrong which is why my speedometer was not working. After inserting it correctly the speedo worked and the engine light was gone. Gonna do a complete coolant flush when she cools down. Then this week all I need to do is get her aligned and do something about my dang cat that's rattling around. Makes my otherwise throaty exhaust sound like the jeeps about to fall apart

Took "Weezy" down to my family land to do more exploring with 2 friends from my 4x4 club.
Blasted a trail without cutting a path, came to an off camber spot and tried to squeeze it between 2 pine trees....
First I slid into the tree on the passenger's side and broke the lens off the turn signal/corner marker.
Got past that and slid into a whole bunch of small trees which pushed in the passenger's fender about 2" AND it removed my passenger's front door cladding WITHOUT BREAKING A SINGLE CLIP!!!! I couldn't believe it!!!

Anyway, I did make it to the top of "David's Mountain", the highest spot on the whole 55 acres.
My dad told me there was NO WAY to get up there on 4 wheels.

It was a little intimidating being on a roughly 30deg slope(up and to the right as well) with just a row of 2" to 3" pine trees between you and a 50 foot drop, but Weezy climbed up there like a mountain goat!

My friends rode up there with me and asked me which axle has a locker in it. Is it in front or in the rear?

When I replied "Neither" they told me I was "full of ****, and there was NO effing WAY we just made it up THAT trail in the rain on 235/75R15 Goodyear Wrangler Radials WITHOUT lockers"

I looked at them and said "Gentlemen, THAT is why it's called a GRAND Cherokee".

Ditched the skid plate. Also got the downstream o2 sensor changed. Upstream kicked my *** though. Neither pb blaster nor atf/acetone mix would break it loose. It basically stripped now. Gonna have to get the torch at work this week and see if I csn get it out
