I changed the capacitors in my PCM last night, and reinstalled the PCM this mernin' before work.

It fired right up!! Hopefully this will cure it's intermittent stall/no start condition.

Also, I'm pretty sure my brake switch is toast, since I can shift out of park without touching the brake pedal.....

replaced the drivers front caliper, new front brakes while i was at it, and did the valve cover gasket as well only to break the PCV elbows off and not a single parts store in town has them in stock out of about 6 different stores.

so, i discarded the front bumper as it was rubbing and plan on building a tube bumper in coming weeks.

Yep, done that a couple times when I lived in BFE WNC. Had to drive a collective 100 miles to find a matched pair. I found the easiest way is to warm them (softening the ccv elbow gaskets being the goal here)up first, either by running the engine before you take the valve cover off or even just letting it sit in the sun for a while if you've got it off already. But even then, they're still prone to breakage. The good thing is that they're cheap enough to just order a couple extra to have sitting around for next time.

the ZJ, though slightly larger over all, has a tighter engine compartment than the XJ. i assumed it would come off with the elbows still on, as it did when i removed one on my old XJ, but not the case. live and learn. One store was able to pull some from a local warehouse and had them to the store in about 2 hours. only had 1 new grommet, but got it back up and going none the less.

its always the little stuff. Installed headers on my old 2003 chevy truck, only to break the dipstick tube off in the block. Headers on my blazer only to crack a plug putting them back in. real world a dime holding up a dollar.

Finally had some time to install my tow hooks and k&n intake on the niner. Not sure I'm liking the intake yet.

Weird, I didn't have any trouble at all getting mine off my ZJ with the rear ccv elbow still on. Well, no more trouble than usually comes with taking one's valve cover off anyway lol

Pulled the front bumper cover off this morning to get ready for the ride and I'm glad I did. It sure wouldn't have made it out in one piece after some of the things it made it through. Surprised the hell out of me

apparently I bent my front skid some time today

We got hit pretty hard. The neighbors lost a big tree. It landed within inches of my house. As soon as we lost power, I had to fight to race scooping water out of the sump. Luckily, my in-laws brought over their generator just in time. I just finished getting all the crap off my roof today. I'm finally done cleaning up from it now.
