Changed the valve cover gasket today....used the felpro permadry. Great gasket. Engine looked fairly good as well, at least as much as I saw . Also found our what a mysterious connector went to. Someone had changed the crank sensor at one point and was too lazy to remove the old one. It was just laying on top of the trans. Damn lazy people haha.

Did you have to use pb blaster? I hear those Honda service manuals are a pain to get out. Maybe heat would help speed it up. Great find for ten bucks ;D

I removed the Torqueflite 727 from the cargo bay of the TSi in between rain storms and test fit the np231 and front DS. I just hope there's enough cleacance for the front shaft...

I installed my New-To-Me Ramsey Pro9000 winch and tested it out. Now, I need to mount the solenoid box since it won't fit where it's designed to go in back of the winch. I also started a new ZJ Bumpers and Winch Pictures thread here: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f13/z...tures-1534414/
Make sure you post a picture up there if you have a bumper AND winch.

Radiator hose sprung a leak after a long day of driving last night. At least I caught it right outside my gf's house and it was right below the hose clamp. After it cooled off I cut it down a few inches and threw it back on, working fine for now. Just ordered a new hose since I no longer trust that one, makes me wonder what other rubber hoses are starting to wear away.

Cursed at it some more, adjusted the tie rod and drag link to bring all 3 wheels back into alignment, cursed at it some more, forgot to torque the lug nuts when I went for a test drive cursed at it even more, discovered the nutso n the ends of the axles are rusted in place, preventing me from removing the hubs, slammed the door shut, cursed at it even more.

All about that unibody life.

Did a lot this week / weekend. Added freon, put in a new passenger cv shaft, put in a new passenger side hub, fixed the rock lights wiring, swapped out my burnt out fog light bulb, got the rear passenger door release mechanism un-stuck aka cleaned the dirt and mud off, reinstalled the trailer hitch (the bumper receiver just isn't cutting it for towing), bought a 7 to 4 pin converter deal, all after last weeks new steering box. Also my front rotors are warped, so now I need to do the front brakes, and of course the rear brakes are going to need replacing too, and i need an oil change and an inspection sticker.
Maybe one day I'll get to buy something cool for it instead of just fixing broken crap. Maybe I'll save up for sliders..

If you don't mind replacing the axle shafts too, the hubs and axle shafts can be pulled as one unit if that nut is stuck.

I recently found this gem about easily removing a rusted-on hub, which I successfully put into practice a couple of days ago. I just figure if that axle nut is rusted on, then the hub is probably rusted to the knuckle, too.
