[QUOTE=typ44;15532997]Consider yourself lucky sir. Here in the PNW a good percentage of our roads are lined with dense trees and brush with no visibility as to whats behind them.
And no I'm not saying every person in the PNW is going to hit a deer at some point in their lives, its definitely a buzzkill lottery.

So yeah, I'de like to further reduce my chances of stuffing a deer through the radiator at night a couple hundred miles and a ferry ride from my house by reinforcing that weak spot.

Be glad you don't live in a state where you have an antler rat trifecta of perfect storm conditions for your jeep to have a one night stand with bambi's parents sans your consent.[/QUOTE

I live in South Central PA, while we do not have the prolific deer population you have, the seasonal "Surprise" factor is most assuredly there! I/ we have the option of picking which roads to take to a degree. Yesterday a nice 6 point, still in velvet was munching out on our back yard chicken feeder. They can definitely "hurt" a ZJ!

Trying to sell my 98 5.2, and buy a 95 5.2 lol

Just waiting on the guy who wants my 98 to get the money. Then it's time for a new Jeep!

Oh man the last couple days have been crazy for the 9er!

+ New exhaust installed
+ Shift kit installed
+ Lift blocks arrived today
+ Ordered my CB antenna and mounting equipment this afternoon
+ Hatch supports also ordered
+ Possible alignment set up for when I install my lift because I KNOW I'll get death wobble

Overall, it's been a good week!

if he's at 10" of lift on stock ca's, something is seriously wrong with that jeep.

But it's only $500. Leaving me lots of money to fix/redo things as I want them. It has 7" springs with 3" coil spacers.. lol And 35's.

So my plan is ditch the spacers obviously. Then purchase a long arm upgrade kit. Don't want no higher then 7" of lift. May even go lower to like a 6". But it will not stay at "10"" lol Aldo ditching the 35's for some either 32's, or 33's.

Other then the redundantly tall and unsafe lift it's a really clean ZJ. Plus after all Ive done with my current 5.2 I know exactly what/how I want things, this time around.

new mods

Installed lock right locker in my Dana 30 front and replaced the 15 year old u joints on the front axle (not fun swinging a bfh with a broken hand but I got it done). After a 50 mile ride round trip to a friends house I took it for a test run. Omg, best upgrade ever. Not too noisy around town and my zj is unstoppable. Two thumbs up.

If you're going down to 33s, I'd drop it down to 4" at most. No need to run 6" and push the COG up unless you're keeping the 35s.

I'm not fully set on running 33's. Just an idea for now. We'll see when I get it.

Installed drilled/slotted rotors and ceramic pads from powerstop yesterday. Pretty satisfied so far!
